¨Aaaaahhh,”stretched Uba. His dad Kway was already awake making beaver sausage. After they had breakfast, they were going hunting. Uba was very excited because today he got to go wolf hunting. After eating breakfast they left to go hunt wolves. Uba´s dad Kway had a bow and arrow and Uba had a spear. They were running fast trying not to step on twigs or leaves but all of a sudden a bear jumped out of the bushes and dragged Kway to the ground!

Kway tried to defend himself but he couldn't reach his knife because the bear held down his arms and legs. The bear scraped his midsection and Kway screamed in agony, the bear looked at Uba straight in the eyes and Uba was so sad. He tried to get his dad to wake up but he never did, Uba stayed there and cried until dark.Uba took his dad's knife and arrow and left to run for the trees to build a shelter. 

Finally, he found a large tree and took some branches and made a wood tent. He started a fire and ate some of the berries he had left from his food pouch. Once he finished the berries, he warmed his hands with fire. He put the fire out with water from the nearest river and went to sleep. When it was late the loud crack of thunder startled Uba and he couldn’t sleep, he warmed himself by the fire, it felt like minutes that the sun came up.

Uba decided to go hunt an elk. He pulled out an arrow because he spotted an elk. He decided to shoot it and hit him.Uba was proud of his archery skills, he went to grab the elk’s meat then he felt a shake in the ground. He knew the bear was in the forest, but he tried to get it off his mind. Uba thought about heading back to find the shelter but it was to far he could get their the next day. He decided to go to bed, but before he did he devoured part of the elk then fell asleep.The next morning Uba woke up to the trees shaking.
