Once upon a time,on Uranus, Axel was playing football. Although everything seemed normal, everything was sideways! Uranus is a sideways planet, meaning that instead of rotating east to west,it rotates north to south.

Axel was the best kicker in his team, so they put him as the kicker . Axel was supposed to kick the ball through the goal. Unfortunately, Axel ended up kicking the ball too hard, sending it into outer space!

By the time the ball stopped, it was at the other side of the solar system. Axel had to go get it! “How am I to get it when I don’t have a ship?”, Axel asked his team. “Go to Demetry”, said his team,”He’ll help you.”

Axel went looking for Demetry. He searched for 3 days before exhaustion consumed him. He laid down on the icy grass and slept. He was very cold! It’s always -224° on Uranus. The next day he was surprised to see Demetry standing right over him.”Demetry?”, Axel asked, “Can you help me?” Sure kid,” Demetry said with a low raspy voice, ”What do you need help with?

“I accidentally kicked a football into outer space! Can you lend me a ship?”Axel asked. ”Sure, I used to play when I was your age,”Demetry said,”’Course I can’t play now, I got arthritis.” Axel was overjoyed to hear his response. “You’ll help, thank you!!” Axel said.

A few days later, they arrived at Mercury. When they got off, they searched for days, months, years before finally giving up. Axel felt like he had not checked everywhere. So instead of staying for another 3 years, he decided he would use his one-of-a-kind digital scanner to scan the entire diameter-13,462 km - of Mercury.

His scanner did not pick up any signals for the missing football. Axel decided that he and Demetry should go back to Uranus and tell his team that he could not find the ball. He started thinking that he would have to buy another ball that they could use. They went to the ship and left Mercury.

After about 2 days, their ship ran out of fuel. Fortunately for Axel, there was a refill station just below them on Jupiter. So they stopped and refilled the fuel tank. Axel went inside and looked at the types of gums and candies. He decided to get a pack of gum. After he’d bought the gum he started thinking about what his 6th grade science teacher had said about Jupiter. He remembered that his teacher said that the radius was 40,030.2 km.

When they got back to Uranus, his team rushed up to Axel and Demetry. They kept congratulating Axel for an impressive throw. “What do you mean?” asked Axel. “Like you don’t know!” said one of his teammates. Axel told them that it had just bounced back. After things were sorted out, they all played football and had a blast.

One day there was a man named Tyrone and he got sent to Venus for life because he hurt a man just to get the last bucket of chicken from “KFC” which also included Kool-aid, a Popeye's biscuit and a slice of watermelon. He wasn’t happy when he heard what they were going to do to him.

When he went to trial he pleaded to the judge to just send him to jail instead. But the judge just said, “The only way you can get back to Earth is to find a way from Venus.” As Tyrone was being sent away to Venus he was already figuring out a way to get back home.

When he got into space he saw all the different planets including Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. That is the order of the planets from closest to farthest from the Sun. He also saw the asteroid belt and the kuiper belt.
When he got to Venus he found out the atmosphere was thicker than Earth’s, it was a lot hotter. He also figured out that Venus was a tiny bit smaller than Earth and that the mass was about one kilogram lighter than Earth’s

When he got to Venus he was very hot and he had barely realized that Venus is closer to the Sun than Earth. He also realized that gravity, the force that keeps you on the ground, on Venus didn’t make you as heavy on Earth.

He didn’t like his first Earth day there because the other prisoners were bullying him. He stayed in prison for one Earth year but it felt different to him since a year on Venus was 137 days shorter than a year on Earth, totaling 225 Earth days. He learned while he was there that a day on Venus was 243 Earth days which is longer than a year on Venus!

One day he was looking out the window from his cell and saw an alien spaceship so he planned to wait until they went to lunch to hijack the spaceship. To his surprise his plan was starting to work. After they went to lunch he escaped his cell and ran to the ship.

After he ran to the ship he realized that there was no way he could hide from the aliens because he was stranded and didn't know what to do. So he then jumped in the ship with aliens but they didn’t go to Earth.

They went to Jupiter which is a gas giant not a terrestrial planet so it is made up of gas and it doesn’t have a rocky surface. Gas giants are also bigger than terrestrial planets. The aliens then realized that Tyrone was in the spaceship with them.

The alien had gone to Earth and Tyrone asked if they could take him back home and they said yes. So once they reached his house he and his best friend went to "KFC" and bought a bucket of chicken and he never did anything bad again for the rest of his life.

Bloo is a green alien living with his wife Red and his dog Luna on Mars. Bloo is very successful and wealthy. Now, a new chapter of his life begins: Earth exploration.
Our story begins on planet Mars, his home planet. Bloo was playing with his “dog” Luna. Suddenly, he hears the sound of wheels in his backyard and decides to check the noise out. To his surprise, he finds a rover in his backyard. A rover is a vehicle that is used for studying the planets and taking astronauts around. They are driven by robots.

A Space Rover!!!
It was time for Luna to eat, but Bloo realized that there was no more dog food. So Bloo and Red went to the store in Mars and there was no dog food there either. Bloo and Red have gone to every store in their city, but didn't find anything. There wasn't any dog food. Then he came up with the idea they were going to go to every store in the cities around them.

There's no dog food!!

luna

So they went city to city, town to town and every dump on the planet to find dog food. They still didn't find anything. With Luna slowly starving they decide to go home and come up with a plan. Bloo decided to go to the other planets in search for dog food. He hopped in his spaceship and he flew away.

Be careful!!

Bloo first went through the asteroid belt, a ring of asteroids that separates the inner planets from the outer planets. He reached Jupiter but when he went in to land there was no ground!!! He quickly pulled out of there. He then remembered what his teacher had taught him years ago. Jupiter is a gas planet made completely out of gas with no surface unlike Mars which is a terrestrial planet with a rocky surface to step on.

There's no surface!!
While flying through the asteroid belt, he noticed that Mars is much smaller than Jupiter. Bloo thought that all the planets where the same size but in reality, everything is a different size. Jupiter is 20 times the size of Mars! The mass of Mars is also very different from Jupiter.

Wow!

He then decide to stop at the nearby martian space port to read on possible planets that have dog food. While there he began to read about orbits. Orbits are the path that the planets take around the Sun. The amount of time it takes a planet to orbit around the Sun varies because of the planet's distance from the Sun. There is more that he read. He also learned about rotations and the way a planet spins on its axis. The final thing he learned is revolution which is the amount of time a planet takes to revolve around the Sun.

Free Books!!

Very interesting!

After reading for a while he found a planet called Earth. Earth is called the water planet because 75% of the planet is filled with water. Earth also has living organisms as well. Then Bloo decided to go to Earth to find the dog food for Luna. Bloo went to Texas and it was hot for him because Earth is closer to the Sun than Mars. Bloo also felt heavier on Earth, because there is more gravity on Earth than on Mars. It took Bloo a few minutes to finally get used to Earth. After all this, Bloo finally found a store with dog food.

I found it but it sure is hot!

Earth here I come.
Since it was so hard for Bloo to find Luna's dog food in the solar system, he decided to buy a life time supply of dog food while at the store on Earth. It cost him 56 matians (Mars currency) but it was well worht it. He then flew off with the dog food to go feed Luna.

He gets home and Luna and Red are happy. Not only did Bloo find Luna's dog food, he also found out a lot of information about his solar system. Afterwards, Bloo went inside his home and took a long needed nap. Luna was as full as she could ever be and took a nap with Bloo too. With only Red still awake, she put Luna's dog food away in a safe place so she could enjoy it for the rest of her life.

Hey, everyone I’m Martin the martian and this is my buddy Comet. Some scientist believe that comets brought an enormous amount of water to mars and earth. Comets are usually 10 km in size but because of its odd size, it may vary.

Comets usually last 75 years or so but it will completely disappear in about 10,000 years or 100 rotations around the sun. Me and Comet were flying in our spaceship and somehow it landed on Neptune. We need to get home, can you help us get back to Mars ?

Right now we are on Neptune, Neptune is the eighth planet in our solar system Neptune's atmosphere is made up of hydrogen, helium, methane, water, ammonia and other ices. It is about 2.7 billion miles away from Mars. Since Neptune is farther away from the sun than mars,it takes this planet longer to orbit the sun. Neptune takes 165 Earth years to revolve around the sun.

We are now flying to Uranus, Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun. It is often referred to as the “ice giant.” Uranus has 27 moons, they are named after characters created by William Shakespeare and Alexander Pope. Uranus only takes 84 earth year to revolve around the sun.
The next planet in my journey back home is Saturn. Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun. It is known as a gas giant. Saturn has 62 moons in total. Saturn has a spectacular ring system, with seven ring and several gaps between them. The atmosphere in Saturn is mostly made up from hydrogen and helium. Saturn like only 30 Earth years to revolve around the Sun.
Next on our stop is Jupiter. Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. it has a Great Dark Spot that can fit two Earths in it. Jupiter is mostly made up of hydrogen and helium. Jupiter takes the cake for having most moons in our solar system, ranking at 69.

Finally back home while you're here, let's talk about my favorite planet Mars. It is the fourth planet to the sun. Mars is actually the planet that I found Comet on when he was just a little pup. Well I found Comet on Dimois one of Mars’ moons.

Mars has a thin atmosphere made up mostly of carbon dioxide, argon, nitrogen, and small amount of oxygen and water vapor. There is 0.2% oxygen in Mars atmosphere. Mars take 1.88 Earth years to revolve around the sun.

Speaking of Deimos let’s talk about Mars’ moons. Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos. Both moons were discovered in August of 1877 by American astronaut Asaph Hall. Phobos is 14 miles across while Deimos is only 8.

Well this is my home, thank you from helping me. I hope you guys learned something while traveling with us. Come back anytime, Comet and I would love to see y'all back here!

Once there was a dog named Jumbo and he lived on Earth. Jumbo is brave, funny, and always dreamnt of going to space. He lived in the white house and he always wants to make friends. Jumbo is a Golden Retriever that is 2 years old which is 14 in dog years.

Jumbo

One day, his dream came true. He finally went to space. The spaceship blasted off and there he was seeing all the planets feeling all the different types of temperatures from all the planets, but one planet caught his eye and that planet was Jupiter. He saw how far Jupiter is from the Sun. It is 480,000,000 miles from the Sun. Passing all the planets, he tried to get to Jupiter.

He went planet to planet and every time he landed on a new one he suddenly gets more power and treats. This power helped him get enough energy to jump from moon to moon just to get to Jupiter. Jumbo had noticed that the planets kept getting bigger and bigger but Jupiter was the biggest planet in the solar system.

When Jumbo lands on one of Jupiter's Galilean moon Callisto, he ran into Alien cats! These cats were so evil and did anything to stop anyone from getting to Jupiter. He noticed that he had to jump many more moons to get to Jupiter. He jumped on the other three Galilean moons: Europa, Ganymede and Io. The Galilean moons were discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610 and are a part of the 69 moons orbiting Jupiter.

Oh no! Alien cats!!

Jumbo had some tricks up his sleeve... he pulled out cat food that was put on the ship in case of emergencies. This was no ordinary cat food it was laced with poison that would put them to sleep temporally.

Once he pulled it out the evil cats were instantly attracted to it. He sets it down and they eat it up. They instantly pass out. Jumbo ran so fast he was almost there, he could see it but then he found himself in a trap, right as he jumped onto Io one of Jupiter's moons.

He saw a giant cat this cat was the Leader of Jupiter and he was going to have Jumbo for a little snack! Jumbo tried to escape but it's no use he knew this was probably the end. But he knew that Jupiter had the most powerful gravitational pull of all the planets. He jumped as high as he could and instantly got pulled to Jupiter.

Right when Jumbo got to Jupiter he figured out that Jupiter's atmosphere is actually made out of hydrogen and helium. Jumbo finds himself in a pile of yummy dog treats and finds a beautiful rock that fell from one of Jupiter’s many moons Metis, he is so delighted and happy that now he has something to remember from his favorite planet Jupiter.

Come back!!!

Jupiter is the BEST planet ever!
Finally, Jumbo gets back on his space ship and heads on home. He passes all of the planets, asteroid belt, the comets, the stars, and the galaxy and is happy that he got to go to space and go on his most favorite planet, Jupiter.
Jumbo made it home safely and he told his owners and his friends all about his crazy adventure and how far Jupiter is away from the Sun it's actually 484,000,000 miles away from the sun! Jumbo also talked about how cold Jupiter is. Jupiter is -200 degrees F. He also said that Jupiter rotates once every 10 hours making a day on Jupiter shorter than a day on Earth. Traveling to Jupiter was the best thing ever!
