I am Poem "Guns"

I am a believer in gun rights

I wonder if taking away guns would help

I hear all these horrible shootings

I see them on the news

I want to help end these tragedies

I am the influence  

I pretend like others care like me

I feel strongly on gun safety

I worry for the next one

I cry when others are hurt

I am the movement that has to be heard

I understand changes have to be made

I say no to gun violence

I dream that every school will be safe

I try to help as much a humanly possible  

I hope for a better future

I Am Poem Response

I wrote is poem because I am a strong believer in gun rights. I wrote this poem in the way guns can be bad but it's not the guns that are causing these mass shooting it is the people and something has to change. The effect with this poem is to change how people look at the topic and to make a change.

Waking up in a house

Going to a drugstore for fuel

Entering the home to dogs barking

The fingers are warm

Re-Creation Poem Response

The setting of my re-creation poem is at my house and i'm just sitting in my room playing video games.In my poem I use two different types of figurative language, Simile and Onomatopoeia. The effect of this poem is how the life of a gamer and the obstacle as well.

The time is set in 1971 during the horrible attack on pearl harbor. I picked this topic because it was a sad and turning point in american history. I used two different types of figurative language simile and onomatopoeia. The effect of this poem is to show that the United States is not untouchable but no one to mess with.

The reason of this poem is because of this world we live in that doesn't seem like the new generations are more educated. In this poem I use two different types of figurative language simile also onomatopoeia. The effect of this poem is to express the true meaning of annoying.

The reason of this poem is to inform the reader about how video games work. The setting is sitting in your room playing a video game and the way most games start to end. The figurative language I used was simile. The effect of this poem was to express the struggle of a video game player.
