Once upon a time, there was a school (with some really smart kids!) that needed a mascot. It was a very teeny tiny school. But!! It was a very strong school: small, but mighty!

But a little bit of history: it’s a little known fact that Poltimore used to be the home of a very rare (but very smart!) species of lions.
They were as big as cows. They were actually cousins of the polar bears and they loved to play in the snow! Especially in April!

Every year, the polar bears would come down from the North Pole for the annual Snow Lion/Snow Bear Sculpture Extravaganza.
They would sculpt and shape for days on end. The results were always amazing.
One day, the Western Quebec School Board realized that all of the bright young children of Poltimore needed a school. They built said school right on the grounds of the Sculpture Extravaganza! The lions were very unhappy.

One day in a fit of pique the entire Pride of Lions stormed into Ms. Camus’ class.

Ms. Camus' class heard a scream come from the hallway
"AHHHHHHH!!!"
Leena comes bursting through the door.
"LOCK THE DOORS, CLOSE THE WINDOWS, SHUT THE BLINDS! THERE'S A LION IN THE HALLWAY!" Leena shouted at the class.

A pride of lions trampled over Leena and into the classroom. Leena murmured "help me..." As she started to get up slowly.
The pride started chewing on windows and flipping desks at the windows. Brayden yelled at the lions "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?"

The lions started chewing the cold parts of the desk and windows acting like a teething baby. Somehow they chewed their way to Mr. Shea's room.
The lions were acting really naughty.
The kindergarten students asked:
"Why are the lions acting so mean??"

One lion said "I have this terrible tooth ache!! It's bothering me so much today. I am just not feeling like myself!"
So Allie said: "Why don't I help you with that?" Then, Allie brushed the lion's big sharp teeth.
"Oh, that feels so much better! I'm sorry I caused you trouble! Thank you little tooth fairy Allie!"

Another lion said "I am so upset! I stepped on a rose and my paw hurts so much!"
Madison said "Let me look at that for you!" So, Madison looked and pulled out a rose thorn from the lion's big paw.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you! That feels much better. I'm sorry I was so angry earlier! Thank you little paw fairy Madison!"

The next lion said "I'm having a really bad day! A spider climbed on top of me and bit me on my back!"
Eliza helped the lion by putting a band-aid on its back. "I hope you feel better and stop causing trouble!"
"I feel much better now, thank you! I'll stop causing trouble I promise! Thank you little doctor Eliza!"

Another lion said "I fell in mud and I have been so upset about it! I know I haven't been so nice lately!"
So Mason said "I can wash you up so you feel all better!" Mason washed the lion with water and soap.
"Thank you little cleaning man Mason! I feel better now. I'm sorry I was acting mean earlier!"
