Once upon a time there was a girl named Cinderella. She lived with her step mom and her two step sisters in a beautiful house. She promised her dad before he died that she would live with them. After his death she never recovered from it (PTSD) but she goes about her life serving to her step mom and step sisters.
One morning Cinderella woke up to numerous noises coming from her step mom. She rushed downstairs to see what her step mom needed. Her step mom kept yelling at Cinderella and she stood there listening. Suddenly she stopped and started crying asking for some tea. (Bipolar disorder ) Cinderella went downstairs to make some and once she did, she went away and started her chores.
She took the broom and started sweeping and cleaning. As she was sweeping she was imaging her and a prince dancing in a ball room together. (Psychotic disorder) Little did she know that her step sisters were watching her dance with a broom in the dining hall.
Cinderella went upstairs to get clothes that needed to be washed from her sisters
Can I get your clothes?
... no and I want to be alone so leave! (antisocial personality disorder)
As the door bell rang and Cinderella went to pick it up. She opens the door to find the mailman with an invitation. The step mom comes out of no where and takes the card from her. The invitation was for a ballroom dance in the castle held by Prince Charming.
But why not! I do everything in the house. Can i just get this one night?
NO!!
All the girls got excited including Cinderella but as her step mom saw her hapiness she stopped it.
You will not be going to the ball.
She refused to believe that she was not going (resistance) so she finished up her chores and went upstairs to make a dress.
She got ready by putting her dress on and wearing her shoes and tying her hair up. She walked downstairs and her step mom looked at her furiously.
Her step mom walked up to her and stared at her dress. She told her to go upstairs and take it off. She refused to and her mom ripped her dress and Cinderella started crying.
She ran outside in the garden and started crying while her step sisters and step mom went to the ball.
Suddenly a fairy comes out it catches Cinderellas attention. She stops crying to ask the fairy who she is.
Who are you?
I am your fairy god mother and I'm here to help. Now tell me what is wrong.
As Cinderella told the fairy god mother what was wrong, she listened (active listening) and tried to figure out how she could help.
As Cinderella stopped talking, the fairy god mother took out her wand and magically a beautiful ball gown appeared on Cinderella. She also turned a pumpkin into a carriage and the mouses into horses. The fairy godmother then gave her glass slippers and told her to be home by midnight or the spell will wear off and everyone will know who she really is.
Cinderella arrives at the castle and as she walks in everyone is looking at her. They all wondered who she was and no one could figure it out. (dissociative identity disorder) . The prince looks up to see her walking down the stairs.
He asks for a dance and she joins him in the middle of the court. They danced all night and when she looked up she saw that there was only fifteen minutes left until the hand reached 12.
She tells him she has to go and runs away. Prince Charming runs after her and he sees one glass slipper on the stairs. By the time he pick it up she is gone. He decided that the next day he will go searching for her through the village.
The next morning Cinderella wakes up and goes about her day doing her chores and assisting to her step mom and step sisters. She did not speak of last night to them as they kept going on talking about the mystery girl.
On the other hand, Prince Charming went went around the village looking for the right girl to fit the shoe. At some point he was so obssesed that even his friends as getting worried (OCD).
