to Ni and Kai you taught me so much.

A long time ago, near a village in Japan called Ki Shung, there lived a dragon. He was the color of midnight. The fire he breathed could light up the dark night sky.
He lived in a river high above the village in an old, blue tree.
Mei was a knight. She was strong and was the perfect match.
Sure, the dragon breathed fire. But there were people with worse breath. And sure, the Dragon looked scary. But there were dogs in the village with scarier faces.

Everyone was scared of the dragon but the princess Mei Chu.
I am Mei Chu
One day, the dragon had come down from his nest and was hiding in the dust.
Everyone ran to escape the dragon. Everyone except for Mei.
She ran close to the beast.

When she spotted the dragon, Mei snuck up behind him.
“Ugly water air beast!” Mei yelled. The dragon roared. He lowered his head to her level. Mai felt the dragon’s hot breath on her face.
“I’m Mei,” she said. “ Go away. You’re killing everybody.”

The dragon’s breaths quickened. Huff! Huff! Huff! It looked like the dragon’s fire was about to blow! Mei braced herself. But instead of fire coming out his mouth, tears began pouring down the dragon’s snout.

“You burned down the castle also known as my home.”
“I didn’t burn down the castle,” the dragon said. “It was struck by lightning. I would never do that.”
“Wow,” Mei said. “Sounds like you’re the victim of a smear campaign. We’ve got to fix this. What are you good at?”
“Breathing fire,” replied the dragon.
“Well, let’s see it,” ordered Mei.

The dragon inhaled deeply and let out the biggest fire breath he could muster.
“Look out for the dust plants!” Mei yelled. But it was too late. The dragon’s fire shot and the dust was ablaze.
Suddenly, the air filled with the sound of fireworks. Thousands and thousands of lights jumped up into the sky and fell back down again as ash.
