This book is dedicated to my pet Oreo who I miss very much and I would do anything to get him back in our lives.

I saw my professor walking towards me. I tried to act normal but couldn't, my hands were shaking, and I didn’t even know it. Then his black, shiny shoes stopped clicking. Finally, he said, “Meet me after school,” and handed me my test with a big fat D-. Let me tell you how this happened by starting from the beginning.

“It’s my first day of college, I can’t believe it!” I always thought that in my head, it would just keep repeating and repeating in my mind, but once I finally got out of my car, I started to think the opposite. I decided that I should probably find my dorm, “Maybe my roommate is nice” I thought.

After a whole lot of searching, I finally found my dorm. I walked in and opened my eyes, and there were clothes EVERYWHERE! “Uh, hi!?” I really didn't know what to say, but to be honest it was kind of awkward. “Hi! You must be Maren! I’m Gabby!” she said. “Sorry it’s such a mess, I just moved in today, just like you!” she screamed, “Here should I-” she stopped me before I could finish. “No, no, no. It’s fine, I can clean this up. You should probably go check out the campus. Gooo Cobbers!”

I did what she said, I explored the campus. It was so beautiful. Flowers everywhere, red, yellow orange. The bumpy brick building, the hard stone paths, there was not one part that didn't stick out. I decided to go check out my classrooms. I walked, and walked dragging my hand on the bumpy brick building, and suddenly I feel a swish of pain run through my skin. I look at my hand, and it’s bleeding! “Why does this always have to happen to me?” I thought. Good thing there was a bathroom just around the corner. I went in, and cleaned off my hand. I should probably get some rest before my classes start tomorrow.

I couldn't sleep that night. The bed was as hard as a ROCK! I was up all night studying for my first quiz. The next day, I woke up at 6:00am. My first class was at 8:00am and I still had a lot of studying to do. There were still clothes everywhere, but I didn’t care anymore. I was so nervous for my first test. I must have gotten so lost in studying, because when I looked at the time, it was already 7:55! “Ohhh no, no, no.” I thought. I couldn't believe it! I was going to be late for my first class!
