late, lost, and lasting friendships.
This book is deticated to my dog Sammy because she is very supportive.

I was walking carefully down the brightly lit hallway. When suddenly, I had no idea where I was, I was lost. I didn’t know were to go or what to do. I was walking in the empty, dirty hallway by myself. Okay, let me backup.

Earlier that morning. I heard my alarm blaring so loud it scared my roommate and I awake. After that amazing start to my day I went to the showers and took a long hot shower. Next I gathered my school supplies and headed to my first class of the day. But before I went to my first class I went to go eat breakfast with a few of my old friends. The smell of the food in the hallway was making me very hungry. I could almost taste they soft, fluffy eggs, and the crunchy, bacon. As I walked into the cafe I saw my friends and went to sit down. They were talking about having a first day of college party at the end of the day. It sounded like fun so I told them I could make it. After breakfast I headed off to my first class of the day. As I was walking I started to feel really nervous. I was getting a little claustrophobic because the hallways and sidewalks where so crowded.

As I kept walking down the hallway, I was starting to wonder where I was because everyone else around me looked very lost. I couldn't see over all of the people shoving me trying to make it to their classes too. As soon as I got to an open area in the hallway, I knew I was lost. I had know idea were I was, or what to do. The farther I walked, the more and more lost I got. The halls were starting to clear up because most classes had already started. I knew I was going to be late for class for sure.

Eventually, after walking for what felt like hours I found the class I was going to. Before walking in I looked at my phone to check the time and I was only 5 minutes late for class. I walked in and the whole room went silent. I felt very weird standing their with people looking at me and I could feel my face get hot and red. My professor was very welcoming though and she told me to have a seat and that they were just getting started.
