I'd like to dedicate this to my friends and family.

I was rushing through the crowds of people and I knew I was late and lost, but let me go back. That morning I woke up late to the loud screaming and hard shaking of my roommate Rebecca, waking me up. I checked my phone for the time and realized I should’ve been five minutes into class. I got up and asked Rebecca why I was late, I also told her that I had my alarm on. She said “It woke me up so I turned it off.” “Then why were YOU waking me up?” I said a little annoyed.“I looked through your phone and it said you had class so I woke you up.” she said. “Well I have to get to class.” I said as I was rushing out the door. I was going so fast through the crowds of people that I almost tripped, and then out of nowhere I thought I heard my alarm sound as the bell, and that is when I knew it was just a dream.

That REAL morning I woke up in a great mood and smelled the amazing smell of pancakes, eggs, and bacon, and wondered if that was Rebecca the phone snooper. I stood up, checked the clock and saw that I had an hour and a half left until my next class. I walked to the kitchen and saw this short petite girl cooking pancakes, eggs, and bacon, for her and I. I thanked her for the food, and realized I hadn’t even known her name. I asked her and she said her name was Rebecca. I rolled my eyes unknowingly. She asked if I had a problem with that. I said that I didn’t and that I just had a bad dream about a roommate-phone-snooper name Rebecca. We laughed for a while about my dream. Then she asked when my next class was and I said it was at ten and it was only eight-thirty. She said that it was daylight savings and that the clock didn’t change in our room.

That instant I got up shoved the rest of my pancake in my mouth and thanked her for telling me and told her that I had to leave. I grabbed some clothes, a towel, and some soap, and headed to the shower. I had to quickly shower since I only had a half and hour left until class.

As I left the dorm I saw a cute boy walking my direction. I thought to myself “college is not the place to meet boys.” That’s when I realized it was my high school crush Chase Evens.”

I go up to him and introduce myself to him, although I have done that four times in the past four years, and then I told him we went to high school together. He said he remembered me, and I was surprised by that considering the fact that he has never talked to me in his life.
I asked him for directions to the debate class. “Why are you here?” he asked as we walked to debate.“I’m here to be a lawyer, what about you?” I asked as I followed him down the hall. “I’m here to be a lawyer too, and why do you have a towel, clothes, soap to bring to debate?” he asked very confused. That was when I realized that I was going to go to the showers and not class.
