I dedicate this to all my BFF's and my dog Daisy: For being with me through thick and thin, and never giving up.

Ding, ding, DING, ding. I roll over and took a look at my exiting new room and my new life. I stand up and stretch out then look at the clock. Yes! I have three hours until my first college class at NDSU. But first, I decide to check all of my social media. I went on my social media for 10 minutes. “Oh no!” I gasp, I had accidentally spent an half hour on Facebook!

Additionally, I still have to take a shower, do my makeup and my hair, and try and clean this unorganized, messy, stuffy room. I ran into the bathroom with my pre-planned outfit on. I took a ten minute shower, then hurriedly grabbed my curling iron. “OW” I screamed! I burned my hand! I ran the burn under cold water and then quickly curled my hair. I then went to my makeup bag and did a cute little natural look. I then looked at the ticking clock. “Thank goodness!” I thought. I have one hour left to clean. I cleanup my smelly bags, and finish unpacking my amazing clothes. I clean the disgusting mess left by my roommate and put all of her stuff on her bed. Finally, I brighten my day by running to Starbucks and getting myself a sweet Caramel Cappuccino. I still have half an hour until my first class, Veterinary and Biomedical sciences 1 .

When I head to class, I suddenly realized that I had taken two wrong turns! I back tracked and ten minutes later I had finally found my right way. I wasn’t late, thankfully. I open the door to my teacher standing at the front of the classroom, introducing herself before the class started. “ Hello, I’m Miss Carolyn. I have come to teach and have you learn Veterinary and Biomedical sciences.” she states. I stand there as frozen as a rock. Then she turned to me, gave me an icy, stone-hard glare, and demanded “Get to your seat.” “NOW.” I quietly headed to my seat, wondering what would next happen. I figured it was just first-day jitters, and that I was just dramatizing things. As I got to take my papers out, she screamed “ HURRY UP!” directly in my face. “I am.” I quietly whispered. “Is that back-talking I hear!? She demanded. “No Ma’am.” I said. “Well then, let’s get started.” I listened, didn’t talk, and wrote my notes down as fast as possible.
After class, I didn’t have any more classes. It was 12:30 and I decided to go to the dining hall. At the dining hall, I noticed the waxed, clean new floor and the decorated walls. I got two slices of hot pizza and a creamy milkshake. Then I decided to go to the administrator’s office, to see if I could switch out of Miss Carolyn’s class. I walked up to the unorganized desk, and uttered,
“ I would like to switch out of Miss Carolyn’s class please.”
The secretary stated “Okay, what is your name? I’m guessing you are an freshman.”
“Yes ma’am. My name is Sabrina.” I said.
“ Ok. I have you pulled up. Who’s class would you like to switch to? Mr. Berson’s or Mrs. Smith’s?
“I would like to switch to Mr. Berson’s”’ I said. Finally! I thought.
