There were once a man and a woman who had long wished for a child. The woman hoped that God would grant her wish. These people had a window at the back of their house from which a great garden could be seen, which was full of the most beautiful flowers and herbs. It was surrounded by a high wall, and no one dared to go into it because it belonged to an enchantress. One day the woman was standing by this window and looking down into the garden, when she saw a rampion that she longed for. This desire increased every day, and as she knew that she could not get any of it and began to be miserable. Then her husband asked, "What wrong?"she replied, "if I can't eat some of the rampion, , I shall die." The man thought to bring her some of the rampion.

There was once a married couple who wanted a child. The wife dreamed of the thought of motherhood. From their apartment window you could see the tallest buildings and thousands of business men. One day as the women was looking down at the big city she spotted a designer dress that she desperately wanted. Her husband took notice and took a taxi down to the mall.

At night, he climbed down over the wall into the garden and clutched a handful of it, and took it to his wife. She made herself a salad of it, and ate it greedily. The next day she longed for it three times more. Her husband must go into the garden. In the evening he let himself down, but when he had came down he saw the enchantress standing before him. "How can you dare," said she with angry look, "come into my garden and steal my rampion like a thief? ""Ah," answered he, "let mercy take the place of justice, my wife saw your rampion from the window, and felt such a longing for it that she would have died if she had not got some to eat."

Once he arrived he looked at the price tag which was labeled "$1,000". He was only a low paid lawyer he couldn't afford it. So he made a plan to steal it. He almost succeeded until the store clerk stopped him and threatened to call the police. He was shocked and begged him to have mercy. He just wanted to make his wife happy.

The enchantress said "I will allow you to take away with you as much rampion but you must give me the child which your wife will bring into the world, and I will care for it like a mother." The man consented to everything, and when the woman went to bed, the enchantress appeared and gave the child the name of Rapunzel, and took it with her. Rapunzel grew into a beautiful child. When she was 12, the enchantress shut her into a tower. When the enchantress wanted to go in, she placed herself beneath it and cried,"Rapunzel, Rapunzel,Let down your hair!"Rapunzel had long hair, fine gold. After a year, it came to pass that the king's son rode through the forest and passed the tower, he heard a song, which was so charming that he stood still and listened. The king's son wanted to climb up to her, and looked for the door of the tower, but none was to be found.

The store clerk agreed to let him take the dress only if they could adopt their child. He said if we ever get one you may. So he ran out with the dress and brought it home to his wife. But what he didn't know was that one day their dream would come true. The wife was furious with her husband when he told her of the deal he had made. But they follow through or he would face prison. The girls name was Zel and the clerk and his wife raised her in the highest condo in the city. Little did the clerk know Zel had met a boy on match.com. And had set to meet that night.

The singing had so deeply touched his heart, every day he went out to the forest and listened to it. The enchantress came there, and he heard how she cried,"Rapunzel, Rapunzel,Let down your hair!"Then Rapunzel let down her hair, and the enchantress climbed to her. He then came to the tower "Rapunzel, Rapunzel,Let down your hair!"Immediately the hair fell down and the king's son climbed up. At first Rapunzel was terribly frightened, but the king's son began to talk to her quite like a friend, and told her that his heart had been so stirred and he had been forced to see her. Then Rapunzel lost her fear, and when he asked her if she would take him for her husband, and she saw that he was young and handsome, she thought, he will love me more than old dame gothel does. And she said yes, and laid her hand in his.

Everyday when the clerk left for work he came and visited and they went to town. And the soon fell in love. Zel had never experienced this much attention from a man since her "father" was never home. The man loved her beauty and her dreams and was ready to marry her. When he ask the big question her answer was yes!
