Dedicated to my friends Melody, Madeline, and Cheyenne for always being there for me.

My heart is beating fast and my mind is thinking of all the things that could go wrong as I am pulling up to the university. This is going to be fun!

I walk onto the cool dewy grass that is on the campus and straight away I hear my name, “Alexis! Alexis over here!!!” I run to my friends Melody and Cheyenne. When I get there I see it, the big MSUM sign. “ Doesn't it look cool?!” Melody remarks. “It's just a big sign.” Cheyenne comments. I think about it a little bit, but it isn't that cool. “Well I guess It looks cool.” I say. “Besides the sign wh-” I start but Madeline shows up and cuts me off “ I bought cinnamon rolls!” she says as she hands us some warm gooey cinnamon rolls in clear plastic containers “ Sorry Alexis! So, what were you saying?” she says. Then we all burst out laughing as we realize we haven't even said hi after a long summer. After a long warm hug we decided to go inside and talk about our summer but as soon as we walked in the bell rung signaling us to go to our first classes.

When I got to class there were only a few people there so I sat down in the near front. I laid out all my stuff and made two sheets of cornell notes. Then my professor barged in and shook all the tables and then she shouted “ GET OUT YOUR NOTES AND GET READY FOR A LECTURE!!!”. It scared me so much I think my heart skipped a beat, as I look around I see more people have joined the class, all of them are definitely as scared as I am. “ Hello I am your new professor, but you can just call me Brenda and welcome to dramatic arts.” she said calmly. “ Now what you just witnessed is a very dramatic entrance.” she said even more calmly. Then a boy in the very back raised his hand “ Are we actually going to have a lecture?” he asked. “Yes just wait a bit. What, are you excited?” Brenda answered. “ Ahhh,no” the boy said nervously. Everyone laughed, I tried to hold it in but then I started out laughing. Then she said “Now grab some paper and a pencil and follow me.

We followed her out the door into a auditorium with a beautiful stage and soft velvet cushion seats. I sat down in the front row so I could hear her better. It was really hard to take notes since she spoke so fast and sometimes quiet, but then a girl came up to me “Can I sit here?” she asked in a soft but sweet voice. ”Yeah sure.” I told her she sat down and showed me her notes. How could she write so fast and so neat but still get all the words right. After what seemed like forever, class was over and we had wrote seven back to back pages of notes in four hours. After class she told me her name was Lilac such a pretty name it was also the same name as a beautiful flower. “Wanna come over to my Dorm To study?” I asked. “That would be fun see you at 11:00.” She answered.

While I am walking to my car I get a call from Cheyenne and of course she is having a first day of college party I tell her that I’ll be there and we said goodbye. As I am walking to my car I see a yellow slip in my windshield wipers. OH NO!!! is that what I think that it is. It is its a ticket but what for. Awe that's stupid Its for parking here two long I mean I only passed the time limit by an hour.As I’m driving home I start to get hungry so I pick up some lunch at Noodles for me and Lilac. When I get to my dorm I see someone has cleaned up my breakfast mess and made my bed and I think even washed the sheets on my bed too. Click! I hear as I sit down on my bed then the lock on my door is unlocking.
