Mind Projection

My term was first described by a physicist and Bayesian philosopher Edwin Thompson Jaynes.  

Simple Definition: Believing that the way one sees the world reflects how it actually is.

I think that someone might try to use this fallacy if they are trying to persuade something to someone that is something that they believe in even if what they are saying is not correct. By using this fallacy you could win an argument by showing a different side of a topic and maybe the person that you are talking to may see your point of view now that you have explained.

Once upon a time there was a young girl who saw a young boy on the other side of the sidewalk. The both of them just stood there across the way from each other The young boy wanted to talk to the girl but she was just way too tall for him he thought to go talk to her.

The boy was about to say something but The girl could not stand there just looking at the boy from far away so she said hey from across the side walk.

Hey Boy how you be?

The boy could not believe his ears The girl had just said hey. He did not know what to say back to the girl.

hello? Did this boy not hear me.

The boy said I can not talk to you. Look how tall and perfect you are don't you see this wall that is between us in leads to two roads the rich and beautiful and then the ugly and poor which is me I just can not talk to you. You cannot come over to this side. That is just how I see the world and that is how it is don't come over here.

What are you saying you are wrong. You just talked to me. There is no wall between us the sidewalk leads to more than two roads. There are no rich and poor sides. I can go over to that side and talk to you if I want that is not how the world works. It does not matter what side of the sidewalk that you live on.
