This is the story of the time we went to Florida. Our exiting plan was to visit our grandma, except I wasn’t exited because I had work. This is the first family vacation were we traveled to a different state we’ve had! We decided to use a car to get there, I am surprised we didn’t use the plane. Since we decided to use the car it took 24 hours, it surprised me! We had a good trip to Florida and a great time with grandma.

We started by getting ready for the exiting trip to Florida. We packed up clothes, blankets, food, drinks, pillows, and everything else we needed. We gave our pets a bunch of food and water, I didn’t like leaving our pets. We also had to make our plans for the trip. Last, we started driving out of Michigan, we all took a nap except mom and dad. We got ready for the long trip and started it.

When we got to Kentucky it looked beautiful out there! The street lights glowed like gold. Kentucky looks very pretty at night. They have very fancy hotels, one of them looks kind of like a Roman building. The stars are very bright and pretty in the nighttime. There’s also a beautiful bridge in Kentucky with wonderful holiday lights. Kentucky is wonderful and pretty, we loved Kentucky as soon as we entered.

When we were in Tennessee we saw real mountains we never knew about! I   never had seen real mountains before! The mountains we went through were made entirely made from stone. There’s even a Dollar General on top, that’s so weird. The mountains in Tennessee were awesome, they were the first I’ve ever seen.

Soon we were in Florida already it surprised me, it felt so fast. I was happy, I knew we would visit grandma very soon. This is my first time being in Florida, I have never been to here before. I also can’t wait to have breakfast. A lot of good things are about to happen in our life right now, I can feel it.

Mom and dad let us have really good pancakes at Cracker Barrel for breakfast. I picked the blueberry pancakes because they’re my favorite type they had. I really wanted to have more because they tasted so good. I’m happy I didn’t eat more because my baby bother threw up all over the car just before we visited grandma. I really like cracker barrel for the beginning of our vacation.

There were many exciting and interesting things we saw in Florida. The shore was very hot and sandy, and the water was very salty and cold. We saw alligators and where they lived, there were signs by it that said do not swim in the ponds because there are alligators in them! We saw a bunch of palm trees at Florida, they dropped so many palm nuts. Most of us had never seen alligators, palm trees, and the ocean before so it was very new to us.

We were happy we finally got to meet grandma. We hadn’t seen her since she moved to Florida. Grandma was really nice she bought us treats like very big chocolate Kisses, lollipops and souvenirs   when we go to special places. I was sad that I couldn’t have the treats that grandma got me, because I had work to do. The next great part of the trip was seeing grandma.
