"Well, it's time to go," I said. From when I was given my name at the age of five, I knew that when I left the village that I would follow the river through the Luminous Forest. Afterall, my name is Current. "Then I officially declare that you have permission to leave the village," said Master Valkyrie. "I advise you to go acquire Veara's Bow from the Elder Shine Pod Tree.""I was going to do that anyways," I replied. " Afterall, I still need a weapon." As I leave the village I wonder what the bow will look like. From what I heard, Veara's Bow is way different than all the bows I've ever seen. Then again, those are just rumors, no valkyrie has left the village in 2,800 years. When I get to the Elder Shine Pod Tree I whisper a spell. "Whisperosa." The bark of the tree split to reveal Veara's Bow.

The stories were right the bow is different, it looks like someone took two bows, made an X and merged them. I grab the bow and sling it across my back.

I walk for days before I make it to Harpie city 5 days ahead of schedule. "There it is," I say, "the place where I can get more rations, if I'm not caught." I sneak into the city and steal some bread. I am almost out of the city when I'm am caught by 4 harpy elite. The harpies take me to the square where the queen introduces herself. "Ah hello young valkyrie, I am Cera, Queen of the Harpies. All Valkyries know they are forbidden here, why have you come?" The way that Cera said that reminded me of a mother addressing her child, in response me anger flared up to the point of bursting. "I came here to do this," I snarl as I take Veara's Bow take and load

an arrow and release. The arrow pierces Cera's heart, fatally wounding her. I take flight and let 4 more arrows stopping the guards in their tracks. I fly across the city as fast as I can until I'm out of the city and on a course for Xadias City.

When I get to Xadias City I am allowed in and I make way up to the temple where I meet Master Valkyrie. Master Valkyrie tells me to go in the temple in the middle of the city. When I make it to the temple the doors are already open, I walk in just as a voice says, "Welcome Current, come in." "how do you know my name?" I reply. "I know a great many things, Current, like how you killed the Harpy Queen Cera. This is a feat that proves you are ready." "Ready for what?" "Ready to become a Goddess."

I am stunned by what the voice said when he continues, "By making you a goddess you will save your people from the extinction that your leader has kept from all of your race." "Wait, the Valkyries are going extinct?" "That is correct, but in order to stop the extinction you must become a goddess. There is a catch though, the gods are in a war that you would have to fight in, the choice is yours, step into the light if you wish to risk your life becoming a goddess and saving your people, or you may walk away with three wishes." As the disembodied voice finishes a column of light appears, in which, my instincts telling me not to, I step into the unknown world beyond the light...
