An incredibly long time ago there was a very poor family. They could barely afford their house. But one day two babies were born, their parents named them Neon and Zeon. They were twins. One day a terrified citizen came running and screaming, “THE BLACK KNIGHT IS COMING!” Neon and Zeon’s parents retreated to the castle, bringing the twins with them. The siege lasted 6 years! Then all of a sudden Neon and Zeon heard screams. The voices sounded like their parents. Someone in armor walked up and said “You’re the blacksmith’s twins. Well your parents are dead!”

Neon and Zeon gasped, then the armored man chased them, but the twins were faster than they looked! They got to the top of the tower, and Zeon whispered, “On 3 we push him.” Neon pulled his arm back and so did Zeon. “One”, Zeon whispered, “Two...Three!”

They pushed the black knight’s soldier off the end of the tower. On his way down time froze! He screamed, “I CURSE YOU WITH THE FACE OF A MONSTER!” Half of Zeon’s face turned green and he had square eyes and a square mouth. A white flag rose.  The Black Knight surrendered! After 11 long years of training, the heroes were old enough for a quest. Zeon wanted to get revenge on the Black Knight, while Neon wanted to slay the mighty dragon.

Zeon's diary:

I'm finally old enough to go on a quest! I really want to get my revenge on the Black knight! While Neon wants to kill a dragon

Zeon was shocked to see the other half of his face.

Zeon's diary:

I now am cursed. I've gotten used to it and I've heard that you can remove a curse by finding the 7 ancient gems. That's the quest I'm going to go on.

Zeon found a sword. He then went to the King and asked for a wish. He said to the King, “My wish is to become a hero!” The King said, “I can grant you that wish, but wishes run in families. If I give you that wish, your 2 brothers get it too.” “Wait”, Zeon replied. “Did you just say ‘2’?” “Yes”, replied the King. “Zeon, your second brother’s name is Alex. He ran away when he was 3. Now he is the rival of time.” Zeon questioned, “Rival of time?” The King said, “He can freeze time, speed up time and rewind it. Now back to the subject of granting your wish. Do you accept it?” Zeon replied, “Yes, my King, I do.” A flow of blue, yellow and green magic circled around Zeon and entered his body where his heart was. The King said to Zeon, “You now have the spirit of a hero.” “Great!” Zeon said. “I’m going to make you proud, my King.”

ZEON’S DIARY:

The King granted my wish. Now I’m going to go on my quest. The King said that there wasn’t just one evil Knight. There is another one named “Crusader”. Neon wants to defeat Crusader but I told him we will go after this quest. Neon agreed. I wonder if we'll be alive to do that quest. I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

Neon and Zeon rode on horseback. Zeon was excited to go on a quest. Until a knight rode towards them on his horse with a sword. “Uh oh!” Zeon said. Neon armed his bow and shot at the knight. The knight deflected his arrow with his shield. Neon kept shooting arrows, but the knight kept deflecting them. Neon pulled back his arrow so hard the string on the bow snapped! Zeon got close enough to strike, but instead of striking he threw his sword accidentally. Zeon’s sword knocked the knight off his horse. The knight lay on the ground. With several chinks in his armor.

The knight surrendered and gave them one of the 7 ancient gems

GEM COUNT:1/7

Zeon spared him, but took his bow and arrows because Neon broke his bow.

ZEON’S DIARY:

I just defeated a knight. I spared his life but I took his bow. It looks pretty cool. It can shoot arrows really fast. I’m not into bows, but I can tell neon will like it.

Zeon heard that there was a place rumored to have a gem. The place is called the Lost Desert. That’s where you find 2 gems. It was a very long 6 hour trip to it. In the middle of the Lost Desert they found a knight, and guess what? The knight was riding a DRAGON!

“WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN!?” Zeon screamed. “I DON’T KNOW!” Neon replied “But I hope the dragon doesn’t breathe fire!”

The dragon DID breathe fire! “YOU JINXED IT!” Zeon yelled. The dragon swooped up and started breathing fire towards Neon and Zeon. They jumped out of the way, but Zeon’s shirt sleeve started burning. Zeon blew on it, but it got bigger. Zeon started spitting on it, and the fire got bigger. All of a sudden, a flying piece of ice came flying out of the sky and hit Zeon’s face “OW!” Zeon yelled “WHY IS EVERYTHING BAD HAPPENING TO ME!?” “I don’t know.” Neon laughed.

“At least the fire got put out.” Zeon said. “That looks like permafrost” Neon replied “Coldest ice in Necronium.” “Hmmmmm” Zeon hesitated “Why don’t we throw it at the dragon.” They did, but the dragon was super stupid and ate it. After a couple of seconds, the dragon turned light blue and turned to ice.It fell from the sky and shattered to a million pieces. But the knight didn’t. “It’s two against one!” Neon said. When the frozen dragon shattered it dropped a fire shaped gem, but the knight picked it up. The heroes  started fighting the knight. They fought for 30 minutes until Neon and Zeon had the knight on his knees begging for mercy. Zeon spared him, but when he did, the knight faded away.

The king appeared in front of zeon and said “The knight that disappeared got sent to prison for the rest of his life. Every knight you defeat gets sent to prison. Now here is the gem you need”
