Its a March morning in Dewytown Idaho and Oliver had just celebrated his 7th birthday. Ever Since Oliver was 4 he'd been dreaming about the day he would get to be on the towns best soccer team the dewy town dragons.

Oliver had been practicing with his dad for months and the big day was finally here, his first day of practice! As he was eating his morning bowl of cereal he noticed a feeling he had never had before, Oliver was anxious and worried about not being good enough for the team.

Oliver was so deep in his thoughts he almost didn't even notice what was sitting next to him!! Oliver gasped... it was a monster!! "who are you" and "what are you doing here" Oliver said!!! The monster laughed and in a raspy scary voice grunted "I'm here because you called me here Oliver" confused Oliver said "i don't want you here!! Please go away" he begged "i have a big day today!"

As Oliver walked to the soccer felid the monster followed. He couldn't stop thinking about how worried he was. Suddenly doubting his abilities he began to wonder why he was a part of the team at all. As he continued these thoughts he realized the monster was getting bigger!!

Continuing to doubt himself and his abilities he started to tear up wiping his eyes he sniffed and arrived at the felid, the coach and other teammates greeted him! The coach set up drills to practice kicking into the goal, nervous, Oliver got in the back of the line

Watching the kids in front of him kick the ball made poor Oliver even more worried! He started comparing himself to them and wishing he was more like them. The monster grew again getting as big as him!!

It was now olivers turn to kick he reared his leg back and kicked with all his might but since he was so worried about not being good enough he got distracted and missed the ball. The other kids laughed and whispered. Oliver started crying and ran to the bench "i knew i wasn't good enough i knew i shouldn't have came" he told himself. The monster grew again now twice the size of him.

Sitting all alone with tears rushing down his face the coach approached Oliver and said " Don't worry kid it happens to all of us don't be upset this is your first day and you're learning just like everyone else, i want you to do something for me i want you to say "i can do it" 5 times! the more you believe in yourself the better you will do!"
