Today was the day of Maya's Sweet Sixteenth Birthday. Lisa and Charlie; Maya's parents, couldn't be more happy for their daughter. Lisa woke Maya up in the morning with breakfast in bed. Then she told her to come downstairs for a special surprise.

When Maya came downstairs, Lisa wrapped a blindfold around Maya's eyes and she and Charlie walked her out the door to the front porch. Lisa then took off the blindfold from Maya's eyes and Maya was shocked on what she saw. It was a band car that was just for her! Maya was so happy that she kissed her parents on the cheek and screamed "Thank you so much, mom and dad!".

Even though Maya had passed her drivers test, Lisa was still a little worried about letting Maya drive her new car. Charlie told Lisa that Maya would be just fine, but Lisa gave Maya a task. Lisa told Maya to go pick her friends up to help get the birthday party ready later that day and to be careful while she's driving. Maya promised to be safe and then left to pick up her friends.

Lisa still felted worried about Maya's safety, but knew that she would be just fine. She tried taking her made off of it by preparing for the party. Lisa was relieved when Maya came back home safely with her friends. Then they all started getting to work.

Everyone started to help get everything ready for the party. Lisa made the cake, Maya and her friends helped with the buffet. And Charlie hung up the decorations. Soon they finally finished and they were ready for the party to begin.

After everyone finished, Maya and her friends went up stairs to Maya's room to get ready. They begin to do their hair and make-up. Then they got into their dresses. They were almost ready when the guests started to arrive.

The party was going very well. Everyone was at the buffet and in the pool having fun. Then Maya and her friends came downstairs and everyone at the party was in awe. Maya looked very beautiful and so did her friends in their dresses. Lisa and Charlie were almost in tears when they saw Maya.

After birthday cake and presents, everyone went outside to dance and party. Lisa and Charlie were so glad to see Maya so happy and having fun with her friends. Maya thought that this was the best birthday party ever! Then after a long night, the guests started to leave.
