I dedicate this to my mom who helped me wight this book

The Great Sink
It was April 14, 1912. I was fourteen years old. I am now telling you this as a thirty-two-year-old. I was at the dock waiting for the arrival of the Titanic. I could smell the saltiness of the nearby ocean. I could hear the seagulls squawking and people talking. I was wearing a pink floral dress and the locket my mother gave me as a baby. The locket was a gold heart. It had my initials carved into it, A.C. On the inside there was a photo of my mother holding me as a baby.
That's when I heard it the loud honk of the Titanic. As it pulled up a bunch of people rushed towards the boat. As I walked towards the boat I remember seeing a woman, she smiled as I walked by. She had light skin, bushy eyebrows, a small nose, and dark brown hair. She looked like she was in her forties.
I kept walking until I reached the boat. I remember walking up the dock. It was light brown wood, because of how wet it was it looked darker. When you walked up the dock towards the boat it would make a creaking noise. Of course, I was not walking up the dock I was skipping up the dock. I was so excited to be boarding the Titanic. I was going to go see my mother, she lived in New York.
My mother is the kindest person in the world. When I was a small she left to go join the army. I remember the feeling I had when I got to go see her, I was super excited but I had so many questions. Will she look different? Will she be mean? Does she remember me?
I boarded the Titanic. It was beautiful. I remember walking in the door a nice man greeted me. He had white hair, fair skin, wrinkles, and a soft white beard. When he greeted me he said, “ Hello, I am Captain Edward John Smith, let me show you to your cabin.”
I remember walking in my room so elegant and beautiful. As I walked in I saw the bed with curtains draped over it. And there was a little dining table with three chairs. The table had a white tablecloth draped over and a white vase with a single rose in the center of the table.
That night I went down for dinner I saw the same women I saw on the bench. She smiled and waved over to me. I came over she said, “Come and sit.” I remember sort of being nervous but looking into her eyes I knew I was not. So, I went over and she said, “ You look lonely come and eat with me.” So I walked over and ate with her. She said her name was Margaret Brown.
