Description: Genital warts, is a virus that you can get, that stems from the HPV virus. It causes warts to grow on the genitals. You get this from coming into sexual contact with someone who has warts.

Symptoms: Bumps on or around the genitals, or the mouth. Some discharge. Itchiness around the genitals.

Incubation: Genital warts don't have to arrive immediately. They take 2 weeks to 8 months to show.

Untreated: Genital warts do varies things when untreated. They can grow and shrink in size, or go away completely. Nothing else really can happen.

Effect on Baby: In MOST cases, the effects of genital warts aren't passed down to the baby.

Treatment: You can go to the doctor and get prescribed ointment, or they can be froze or burned off.

| Genital Herpes |

Description: Genital Herpes is caused by the herpes virus (HSV). It causes painful blisters to grow on the genitals.

Symptoms: Blisters on the genitals, which have a whitish color and can ooze liquids. Painful Iching. Crust on the bumps.

Incubation: Can show up between 2 days and 1 month after virus has entered.

Untreated: It increases the risk of more painful sores. It can lead to difficulty urinating.

Effects of Baby: If the virus comes into contact with the baby, during birth, it causes neonatal herpes, which can cause death.

Treatment: The only thing that can treat herpes is antiviral medications.

| HIV |

Description: HIV is a virus that attacks immune system cells. HIV can lead to AIDS, which can do the same thing but worse.

Symptoms: No one person will have the same symptoms, but they can consist of Rash, Fever, and Sore Throat/Severe Headaches.

Incubation: It doesn't take time for the virus to spread to the body, but takes months to years to develop symptoms.

Untreated: If left untreated, HIV will destroy your immune system, and cause the body to be susceptible to most diseases, and will die to most.

Effects on Baby: If the baby was conceived while one of the parents have HIV, the baby will have HIV.

Treatment: Anti-viral medications slow the growth of the virus,but there is no cure at all.

| Hepatitis B |

Description: Hep B is a virus which is an infection of the liver, which can cause scarring of the liver, liver failure, and cancer.

Symptoms: Pain in the Abdomen, Dark urine, and fatigue.

Incubation: Average of 75 days.

| Hepatitis B |

Untreated: If Hep B is left untreated, the liver could be damaged with scaring, effecting productivity. It can also cause organ failure, which leads to death.

Effects on baby: A woman carrying the baby can pass Hep B onto her child, but there is a vaccine to prevent the child from getting it.

Treatment: Anti-Viral drug can be given, but there is no cure.

| Gonorrhea |

Description: Gonorrhea is a virus that causes pain and trouble in the urinary tract.

Symptoms: Painful urination. Discharge from the genitals. Painful swelling in the genitals.

Incubation: 2 - 5 days.

Untreated: Gonorrhea left untreated causes serious problems. It can cause you to become infertile. It can also spread to the blood.

Effects on baby: Gonorrhea spreads to the baby before birth, and can cause miscarries and serious health issues.

Treatment: Antibiotics, can heal the swollen area, and ease pain and discharge.
