David-John's best friend,favorite book is I Survived the Joplin Tornado,Does not play baseball.

Bob- team Cobras,favorite book he doesn't read, Position is batter.

John-team Eagles, favorite book is Jake Madox's Mr. Strike Out,position Pitcher

"Here we go, I'm about to pitch in the biggest game I have ever played in," John said. "First, I better tell you how I got to be on the mound."

"Going going gone home run! "

"noooo!"

"Yes! my team won!"David, one of John's good friends, said. "Now I get to dare you to do something." Do you have to?" John said. "Yes, I have to! I'm thinking right now about what you have to do."

"I have a great idea, you have to try out for the baseball team."

"You have to try out for the baseball team," David said cheerfully. John grumbled, "What if i'm not any good?" "Deal with it," David crowed.

The next day John tried out for the team. It ends up that he was horrible at all the positions. However, their is one more position he hadn't tried yet. Pitcher!

After coach was telling John how nonathletic he was he finally let john pitch. When john pitched, the unexpected happened.

ouch ouch ouch

John threw the ball as fast as he could. It even hurt the catcher's hand. He was so surprised that he threw that ball so fast. John said,"I have never even played baseball, but I do watch a lot of it on TV."

Not bad.

I found out this is coach's happy face

Coach was pretty proud of John. John was pretty happy with himself too. "I think coach might put me in as pitcher!" John said.

Coach has are positions.

Oh snap.

The next day John was so scared to go to practice because they were telling John that coach had their positions on a piece of paper. John thought to himself,"If coach puts me in as pitcher, I will be so exited!"

"Im pitcher, John yelled out loud, "I can't believe it!" John ran all the way home to tell David the good news.

When John got home, he told David the good news. John told David everything that had happened. David was super happy for John. David even set up a party for John.

The team had a great season with John pitching. It was the end of the season. If the team won this game they would go to the Championship game. When John started pitching he was doing really hot.

After John had his no-hitter game, his team celebrated for a long time. John's teammates were really uplifting to John because he pretty much did everything. It ended up being a pitchers' dual. They went home to practice until the championship game, which would be in a couple days.

Here we go, it is the day of the championship game. They're in their ninth inning of their championship game. If they strike this guy out they will not have to pitch to Bob, the best hitter in their league.
