Once upon a time, there were two little goats named Brahmin and Brahmina. Both of them were finally approaching the big transition from elementary to middle school.

However, there was a huge problem! They were extremely nervous about entering this new environment.
In elementary school, they were enclosed into a small plot of grass. Now, they would finally be able to roam the open fields learning necessary skills such as grazing, hibernation, and defense skills like using their horns and running away.

Brahmin and Bramina weren’t like typical goats. Coming from a very strict family, they were often restricted by rigid rules and never had the freedom to do what they wanted.
This stemmed from their mother and father’s cheese business, Billy and Nanny’s Cheese Shop. Although this was the prized possession of their parents, they weren’t as invested. Yet they still were blindly forced into the family business by their parents.

I wish mom and dad would let us play around. We never get to do anything that we want.

Mom: Brahmin, Brahmina, don’t forget to stock the shelves.
Dad: Yeah, and make sure you’re nice to the customers.
OK
Although this made for very obedient kids, they lost all the fun and spontaneity that childhood had to offer.

Every day, they went to school, completed their classes, and returned home, where their strict schedule continued. Once at home, Brahmin and Brahmina continued with hours of homework and cheesemaking, leaving little to no time for their true passion: acrobatics. Therefore, middle school was their chance to follow their passions and dreams. They wanted to become acrobats when they grow up.

They were really enthusiastic about an upcoming talent show for the new middle schoolers. Their parents wanted Brahmin and Brahmina to perform a cheesemaking segment at the talent show. But they both had other plans. Both of them wanted to perform their trapeze acrobatic talents in front of the whole school.
Their parents always told them what to do and when to do it, even if it was against their own wishes. But this time, Brahmin and Brahmina decided to follow their own voices.

Talent Show!!!
All talents welcomed!

One day during their grazing period at school, quiet Brahmina declared to her brother...

Mom and dad would never approve. They want us to show our trade of cheese and milk making. I would love to show our true passions but it would never work.

We should put on our own show. We should perform the trapeze acts we practiced in secret!

Then we must make a plan!

We must think of a way. It’s very annoying to have our lives controlled 24/7, we’re going to have to listen to our inner voice at some point, why not now?

So for weeks leading up to the talent show, Brahmin and Brahmina woke up early and practiced their trapeze act. Then, during their free periods, they used the gym to practice their juggling. And by the end of the day, they merrily galloped home to quickly finish their homework and practiced their final act: the tightrope walk.

This dedication to a pass time that they enjoyed made Brahmin and Brahmina a far cry from the quiet, passive kids from before. They were now happier and had something to look forward to every single day. Leading up to the talent show, Brahmin and Brahmina realized they were having the best time of their lives.

Yeah you’re right. I just wish we didn’t have to hide this from mom and dad. We should make sure they come to see us perform. Then they will maybe finally accept our talent!
This is amazing! We are really honing our craft!

We might not even have to work in the family cheese shop anymore!
