Not very long ago (like, yesterday) ,and pretty close (like, the next town over), there was a cell, controlled, under a single government. It was called the cell empire. It was controlled by Emperor Nucleus. He had all the directions for the organelles of the cell empire. He strongly dictated everything that went on in his cell empire. Many of the people throughout the cell did not want to be dictated by the nucleus. However, they all have to work together to keep the cell alive, and the nucleus made sure that happened. Plus, the nucleus had all the data for the cell. Including cellular data! And organelles LOVE their "cell" phones!

Do as I say!
The other organelles continued to grow further against the nucleus, and one day a group of organelles decided to attempt to carry out a rebellion against the nucleus! They decided they would stop doing what the DNA in the nucleus suggested. However, they soon realized that they did not know how to do anything else. DNA gave them all the instruction to everything they do day to day!

The nucleus is so bossy!
The organelles learned that without DNA, they had no purpose, but fortunately for them, they realized something. The mitochondria, the creator of the amazing ATP energy, had DNA of his own. Maybe he could share! Meanwhile, one day, a young ribosome, newly created by the nucleolus, learned about the rebellion from the Rough ER he attached to.

The rebellion will defeat the nucleus!
So, the Rough ER, whilst transporting the ribosome, convinced the ribosome to visit the mitochondria, and try to turn the mitochondria to the rebellion. His powerful ATP energy, and his DNA to give actual instructions to do something other than the nucleus DNA.
would make the rebellion great!

We need mitochondria!
So, the ribosome was transported through the Microtubules in the Cytoskeleton, which provides transportation and support.
The ribosome arrived at the place of the mitochondria and asked him to join the rebellion against the nucleus. He decided to join, and share his DNA with the rest of the rebellion!

I am the powerhouse of the cell! Have ATP!
So, the entirety of the rebellion met, and decided to write a strongly worded letter to the nucleus, it was signed by the Golgi Apparatus, who repackages proteins into vesicles, a few Ribosomes, who create protein, the smooth ER, who makes lipids, a Lysosome, who contains enzymes, and finally the newest recruit, the mitochondria.

Take that nucleus!
With the numbers of the organelles, they figured they could make the nucleus stop bossing them around. After all, they had every major organelle that was not in the nuclear membrane, except the cell membrane, but all he does is stop things from coming in and out of the cell. The nucleus saw the letter, and took a while to answer it.

I am gonna take forever to answer this!
While the rebellious organelles waited for the nucleus to respond to their letter, they obtained some DNA from the Mitochondria. However, they realized something. Their new DNA did not give them instructions to the things they knew how to do. It just told them to make ATP, which was physically impossible for them!

Ok, bad idea.
