Chapter 1

Connecting Dreams

I went in my classroom like usual. I walked up to my desk before my friends went there. Few hours passed, it's lunch time. My friend wanted to tell me something. Instead of listening, I ignored her and continued eating lunch.

Before I went, my friend called me again. I was a bit curious, I decided to listen to her. She told me a nightmare she had last night.

In her dream, she was in the class. Let's call her Ne. There were no teachers or any other children from other classes. Every other classes were empty. The lights are off, the students are acting quite strange.

The only people that are acting normal are Ne, her friend (L), and the suspicious student, Ni. Then, I asked,"Am I acting weird too?" She said,"Yes."

My friend L also listened to her.

She continued, "In the dream, you wanted to exit the school because there were no teachers or staff members. When we're going to the exit, there was no exit. There was the exit door but no way out.

They're just staring at the wall until they teleported back to the class. Something changed at the time they teleported back to the class, all the students were missing. They went back to the exit several more times. 

The fourth turn we went to the exit, all of the school furnitures were gone. 

They heard Ni laughing in the assembly room/hall. We decided to go to the exit one last time.

When we went to the exit one last time, it led us to a vent that led us to a black void. That pit looks dark and deep. Before I wanted to tell L to be careful, she disappeared. Then, I fell into the void. That's when I woke up terrified."

Time passed, It is now the next day. L immediately came to my desk and told me that she had a similar nightmare as Ne's. In L's dream, L and Ne went upstairs. They found a wall that was blocking the library and the upper classes. Somehow, they teleported back to the class.

When they teleported back to the class, I was hanged. My dead body, they were shocked. They heard a laughing noise. It was coming from my desk.

It was the sound of my shadow laughing.

The dream ended. My friend sitting next to me, Ni, was listening to us. He immediately said,"I had the same dream!" We all gasped. He said he had the dream two days ago. Which means Ne and Ni had similar dreams at the same day.

Ne told him her dream. Ni said he fell into the void. He died, but, he was still alive. He was a ghost. But he's not fully ghost. He can still see his body. But others can't see him. Until now, I can't find out how can two different people at different places dream the same nightmare at the same day.
