Hi! My name is Savy! Throughout this story, I will explain how I became who I am with my partners in crime (not literal crime of course)

Carbon Dioxide a colorless, odorless gas produced by burning carbon and organic compounds and by respiration. It is naturally present in air (about 0.03 percent) and is absorbed by plants in photosynthesis.

In the beginning (in this story) I lived in the atmosphere! I always dreamed of traveling the world. Little did I know I was in for a action packed life.

Finally the day had come! I looked around for the perfect piece of grass within the biosphere and BOOM photosynthesis!

Biosphere:the regions of the surface, atmosphere, and hydrosphere of the earth (or analogous parts of other planets) occupied by living organisms.

As I started to draw near to my autotroph/producer (piece of grass) it started to settle in that this was going to be an adventure! I also gained a little bit of ATP which will stay with me until I return back to the Atmosphere.

Autotroph:an organism that is able to form nutritional organic substances from simple inorganic substances such as carbon dioxide.

Producer: something that produces it's own food!

ATP: Adenosine triphosphate, or ATP for short, is the energy currency of life

I made it!

This is my new home! A plant cell or Chlorplast!

Chloroplast: (in green plant cells) a plastid that contains chlorophyll and in which photosynthesis takes place.

Then OUT of nowhere a whole mob of weird creatures came and I HAD to figure out what was happening!

Hi Savy! My name is Elsie and I am water my job to help your new home grow! I came up through the roots.

She continued to explain that we together make food for this great plant! The plant used us to make glucose and we are the reason biosynthesis works and happens!

Biosynthesis: he production of complex molecules within living organisms or cells.

Glucose: a simple sugar that is an important energy source in living organisms and is a component of many carbohydrates.

I felt on top of the world knowing that I help create Chemical Energy and help a plant survive!

In all actuality I noticed that there where not as many water molecules coming up a few days later. I got my detective hat on and figured out that we where suffering a drought!!!

Chemical energy:Chemical energy is the potential of a chemical substance to undergo a transformation through a chemical reaction to transform other chemical substances. Examples include batteries, food, gasoline, and etc
