I will be using picture #5 to represent charlie.

Charlie, His mother and his two younger sisters lived on a farm. His father had been killed 5 years ago. Ever since then his mother had to get a job but wasn't bringing in enough income to live off of. She told the kids they'd be moving out to the city as there would be more job opportunities and that's exactly what they did.

Moving out to the city was nothing like Charlie imagined. At the time he was 14 and his mom had not yet discussed with him and his siblings that they'd have to go get jobs as well. When Charlie's mom told him, he did not agree to working at first but remembered his family's financial issues and found himself a job working in a factory.

In
In the factory the working conditions were horrible. People, including young children had to work and work very long hours at that. Using very dangerous machinery which Charlie highly disliked because he feared hurting himself.
In the city Charlie and his family live in the basement of a wealthy family who rented out their not so spacious and vacant basement. Considering its 4 people trying to live in one room the environment is so crowded, dirty and uncomfortable.

After work Charlie and his siblings normally came home very dirty, bruised up with aching bodies. They put in so much hard work everyday but were not getting paid the amount they deserved for their long hours and hard work.

As the years went on there were more and more technological inventions that made jobs way easier but as a result also caused alot of people to lose jobs as things were starting to get done by machine and no longer needed the hands of the people.
Charlie and his family just happened to be apart of that population of people that lost their jobs due to this new technology.

Charlie's mom, taking another approach to provide for her children, goes to the bank and takes out a loan to start a family business. And with the help of this new found technology, the business ended up being a very successful business and the family no longer lived life in poverty.
