The author, Shaina Jeanty, is 16 years old and lives in Miami, Florida. She enjoys hanging out with friends and spending time with family. As a kid she was a dancer and a gymnast. Writing books weren't always her favorite thing but over time it grew on her. She lives with her single mother who inspires her to the fullest. Throughout her life she hope to help change and share with the world one step at a time.
