Anxiety is a feeling of worry or being uneasy about a person, place or thing.
Anxiety is the most common mental illness.
it can go along with depression.
Symptoms are different for everyone.


Annas anxiety makes her worry so much that she sweats.
is for Bipolar
When someone is bipolar, they have very good happiness and very low sadness.
Bipolar cant be cured.
There's medicine for it
Therapy helps.


is for Counciling

Counseling is where one person goes to a therapist to talk about their emotions and things that have happened to them.
Many people go talk to someone.
There's multiple reasons to go.

is for Dyslexia

Dyslexia is disorder where someone gets numbers, letters or symbols mixed up.
Can be found in childhood.
People share similar mix-ups.
Can be hereditary.
Jamie has dyslexia, so she mixes up her Ms and Ws.


is for Eating Disorder

Eating Disorders are when someone has different eating habits (eating too much, not at all, or eating and then starving yourself).
Found in many women.
Men who tend to workout usually have it.
Never goes away.
Jada has an eating disorder, so she ate the whole cake then made herself puke it.

is for Forensic Psychologist

Someone who works with mental health within the justice system.
Combines systems.
Used in hostile crimes mainly.
They used forensic
psychology for the cold case.

is for Gender

Identity which you can be born into or change (female or male)
Gender has changed through the years.
Has nature and nurture.
Kim wanted to know the gender of her baby, oping it was a boy.


is for Heliophobia

Being scared of the sun.
Fear of being burned or previously burned.
Causes invasion on life.
She didnt go play with the kids this summer because she has heliophobia

is for Impulse Disorder

Lacking the ability to control your-self
Mimics addiction.
Instant knowledge of consequences are lacking.
Lai has impulse disorder, so she waved without thinking.

is for Jungian Psychology

An idea on how therapist should introduce their therapy
While studying to be a therapist, James focused on jungian psychology.

is for Klienefelter Syndrome

Condition where a man is born with another X chromosome
Men tend to have breast.
Less hair is common.
Tim was born with a chromosome defect called Klienefelter Syndrome.

is for Learned Helplessness

This is where someone feels helpless after going through a rough time.
Main cause of depression.
Loss in hope for future.
Happens after trauma
Joe said he lacked helplessness.


is for Mental Health

A persons condition where they take into consideration their emotional well-being
Deals with physical and brains functioning.
Can effect one their whole life.
Everyone has it.
Joanne was reading about her mental health.

is for Neuropsychology
Study of behavior, emotions and well-being working with brain function
Most common in modern medicine.
Same had nueropsychology testing for her PTSD.

is for Occupational Therapy

This is therapy where the patient is doing something during the session to help make it easier.
Usually used with children
Makess sessions better for patient.
Actions can sometimes tell psychologist signs.
Janice played with a book during her occupational therapy.

is for Phobia

A phobia is something or some situation that gives you an uneasy feeling
There are hundreds of fears.
Can be simple or complex.
Can effect everyday life or not.
Kaylas phobia was being afraid of the dark.
