For my nieces and nephews and many other children to see and understand the difference between liking and loving something or someone.

Dear Teachers, Family and Friends,
I would like to dedicate this book to children all around the world who would like to see and hear an example of the difference between liking and loving something or someone. I hope that teachers, parents and others enjoy the colorful story.
Patience! Journey!
Mama Helen Yelled up the stairs.
It's six thirty, time to get ready for school.

Journey stuff's his face with Cheesy eggs, buttery grits and two pieces of De'Camellos fresh Italian bread.

As Mama finish preparing breakfast, she began to sing what was playing on the radio "I'm searching for a real love" by Mary J. Blige.

Yummm, that looks good Mama! Patience, sat at the table and begin to pray over her Yummy smelling breakfast.

While Journey was still up stairs getting ready, his phone rang. "Journey" yelled his best friend John! Guess who asked about you? Who? said Journey. The tall, pretty, long wavy black hair, caramel complexion skin girl who sits behind you in Math class.

Are you talking about "Mercadies"? The girl you wanted to take to the school Christmas dance? "Yes" but I think she likes you!

No way said "Journey". So are you going to ask her to the dance? If not I sure will!

As Journey runs down the stairs. Patience yells " Journey has a girl friend, Journey has a girl friend"! "Cut that out" Mama said.

Journey your only nine years old, too young to even be thinking about girls. It's seven fifteen, say's Patience. The bus will be here in five minutes.

Mama begins to walk Patience and Journey to the door, giving them a great big hug and kiss. "I Love You" Mama said. Have a great day at school kids and remember "Love yourself or nobody will!"

The bell rang at seven forty- five, on Monday morning.
Hello! class say's Mr. King! In unison Good Morning! Mr. King

Mr. King asked for a volunteer to do a homework problem on the board. Journey, raised his hand and walked to the board completing the math problem.

When Journey returned to his seat, there was a green piece of paper shaped like a tree with red writing on his desk that reads.

"Will you go to the schools Christmas dance with me"?
I really like you! Yes No or maybe
I like the way you dress and I love your smile!

As the day goes on, Journey couldn't focus in his other classes and could not wait to tell his best friend about the note he got from Mercadies.

During recess Patience, Journey's sister ran into him in the court yard. Ouuuu said patience, as she opens and read the note she grabbed out his back pocket, he received from Mercadies. "I'm telling Mama!" Journey giggled!

As three O'Clock arrives, Journey is anxious to go home and talk to Mama about the note he received.
