“Come on Kelcey let's go outside.”My name is Ava and my best friends name is Kelcey. Kelcey is a very nice person. She has blond hair and blue eyes. Both Kelcey’s mom and mine are scientists they had to go to the rainforest for work. But since it’s summer break they let both Kelcey and I come. We got to bring some things from our house. One thing I brought was my book. It had some facts about the rainforest like, The rainforest is the earth's oldest ecosystem. We also had just gotten here yesterday and we are staying for a week. It is like a city here. Right now I’m waiting for her to get ready to go outside,“I’m done” said Kelcey, “finally that took a thousand years!” I replied,“Lets go tell our moms that we are going outside.” I said, “ok” says Kelcey,“Can we go outside.” I ask my mom, “Sure just be careful and stay together. But remember that me and Kelcey’s mom have to leave soon to go work.” She said, my Kelceys mom and mine work at Rainforest inc.

       As we got outside I pulled out my book, “ did you know that In the moist rainforest's of South America, sloths move so slowly that that algae are able to grow in their fur.” I said, “Cool.” Kelcey said and she started to walk away while I was still reading, “ AVA COME HERE I FOUND SOMETHING!” Kelcey exclaimed. I ran over and was amazed at what I saw, “Wow it’s beautiful.” Kelcey and I look up at a beautiful waterfall. It was prettier than a peacock. Suddenly we heard something, “GGRR” said the noise, “What was that!”I asked, “I don’t know?” Kelcey replied. Suddenly we saw a big leopard at the top of the waterfall, “ Kelcey move away slowly.” I said,“ AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!” Kelcey exclaimed and ran. I ran after her. And the leopard chased us.

We ran out of the open area but it still chased us,“Kelcey hide.” I told her and we hid behind a rock. But it was smart and went straight to the rock and we started to running again. We finally got to our tree house where we were staying. We locked the doors,“Where are our moms?” Kelcey asked, “They left to go work.” I said, “ oh ok.” She said. (Later), “ Hey Kelcey did you know that the rainforest is hot and humid because it is close to the equator.” I said, “ Cool!” She said back.
