We were in the middle of the seventh grade. One day a girl appeared in our class. She said her name was Evrynn, or Evy for short. She claimed to be the girl who catches rainbows when they fall. All the kids laugh at her but I will help her prove it! We look so much alike, we could be twins! She is taller than me though.

She said she really did catch the rainbows. I believe her. All the other kids think I'm weird for hanging out with her. I don't care much about their opinions. I am a brave little girl my dad says for blocking out all of that negativity. I just have to or I cant be happy. My dad said my mom would have loved how optimistic I am, he says she flew to the moon and the stars. I hope she flies back to visit me soon. I tell her my name is Kylie.

We went to the park where we were alone. She says she thinks we are long lost twins. She told me her mom said that her dad flew to the stars and the moon. I told her about my dad. She says we were destined to meet. Evy says that I must have some power too. I tried to do so many things, then one thing worked!

I could move water with my mind. I told water to go up and then left and hen back in the cup. It worked! But then it went haywire and threw water at Evy! It knocked her to the ground. She fell and all her rainbows escaped. She cried out "NOOO" They all blasted away like colorful comets.

One settled into a rainbow and all the rest followed.

"NOOO" Trinity cried. Double rainbows are good luck, but all this will drain the luck from the world. I didn't know what to do, until I had an idea. This had to work!

We had learned in science this week that rainbows consist of water reflected light. I told her I could use my powers to drain the water out of the rainbows then the colors will just float to space. She said I could as long as I didn't catch the alpha rainbow that makes the rest of the rainbows. I agreed and started to focus on one of the smaller rainbows. A minute later it fell to the ground and the colors evaporated into space. This is going to take longer than I thought.

I ran down the giant sledding hill towards a few smaller rainbows and the dock. They collapsed before I even got there. Am I more powerful than I thought? I ran towards more that also collapsed. One of them had a face, the alpha, and said

"They are dying and no one is there to catch them. They will all go away but if Evy doesn't catch me, rainbows will be no more." I ran back to Evy and yelled for her to get up. She groaned and sat up and said

"The rainbows jumped away, why should I help them give luck to people." I responded with

 " Because people need some luck every now and then so you need to help them, if you didn't want to be responsible for your power you should've given it up.

She agreed to helping the rainbows. She got up and walked under the alpha rainbow. The alpha did not fall. She yelled to it that she would catch it. It didn't respond. She was about to walk away when the ground started shaking. The rainbow trembled not knowing if Evy would be able to catch him. She yelled to him

" Jump into the jar and I will catch you" The rainbow didn't believe her and jumped away into the mountains, leaving a trail of colors behind him.

"Now we have to go on a giant mountain adventure" Evy groaned. But we know where we are going, I thought to myself. Now we headed in that direction. She suggested another way to get across rather than walking. She said

"If you don't mind getting wet lets fly across, you have magic water powers." I agreed and focused on enough water to keep us afloat. Two little puffs of water sprouted out of the lake. I told her to sit down and hurry if we ever wanted to catch those rainbows!
