What is this? I thought this book was about ME!
The Fennec foxes are known around the world for their gigantic ears. They live in the Saharah desert. Their big ears are so if they are sleeping during the day, they can hear predators.
Big Ears

It's entire head and body are about 15 inches long, and the ears are 3 inches tall. Their bodies are a pale sandy color that go well with the sand in the Sarah desert.

They forage for plants but also eat rodents, eggs, reptiles, and insects. Fennec foxes can live for about ten years. Fennec foxes are pets in some places, but not everywhere. If you want to own them make sure you have lots of room for them to rome around. A fennec fox usually costs from $1500 to $2000, the cost of some purebred dogs.
Fennec foxes sleep during the day, so they are nocturnal. This means they are awake at night and asleep during the day. They go get water in the night before hunting.
Gray Hair
Gray foxes are found all around North and South America. When the word "fox" is brought up, most people think of the red kind. This is because the red is used more commercially than the gray. It prefers warmer regions than the red fox.

Gray foxes are not near as cunning as red foxes. They are easily caught in traps that a red fox would not be seen in.

Gray foxes are great tree climbers, and climb trees when they are chased or feel threatened. The gray fox makes its home in caves, deep cracks in rock ledges, and in hollow trees. An adult gray fox is about 40
inches long from the tip of its nose to the tip of its tail. Like the fennec fox, gray foxes are also nocturnal. This means they are awake during the night and asleep during the day. A large part of its diet is made up of small mammals like mice, voles and eastern cottontail rabbits. It also eats birds; insects; and plants like corn, apples, nuts, berries and grass.
Their lifespan is 6-8 years.
Red-Heads
Red foxes are known worldwide for their red fur. The red fox is used all over the world in things like brands- like CarFax. They are by far the most cunning fox and are very sly.

The red foxes prefer a cooler climate than most foxes(except for the arctic ones).

Red foxes will not be caught in traps- at least not easily. The red fox is found all over the USA. I have seen many in my yard- and hey,
who knows maybe when you get home you will see one right there. On average they are 18-35 inches long. They have a life span of 2-5 years, which means they live for 2 to 5 years. The red foxes are also nocturnal, or they are awake at night. Sometimes red foxes can be diurnal as well. This means some red foxes are awake during the day instead of night. Red Foxes are found throughout most of Europe, Asia and North America.
