A middle-class family is looking for a decent girl from Pakistan for their son to get married to. Son's name is Zaid and he is currently attending University for his graduate degree. Zaid's mother has died five years from today and he has been living with Kamal, his father. Zaid is the only child. Kamal had a good old friend Raja, but he had died two years ago. Kamal’s friend Raja has a daughter Anna, she is near Zaid's age, Kamal wants Zaid to get married to her. Maheen, Anna’s mother is a single-parent and has only one daughter. Anna is also attending the same University as Zaid, but they do not know each other personally. Maheen also wants Anna to get married to Zaid. Kamal and Maheen talk about it and they both agree to get their children married. When their parents talked to their children about their marriage they both did not seem quite happy about it. Zaid told his father how short and dark skin she is. Anna told her mother about Zaid of how flirty he is. Their parents still convinced them and asked them to talk to each other and get to know about each other.

Anna was sitting in the cafeteria when Zaid comes up to her and says “Hey, Anna! How are you?” Anna did not know that his father has already talked to him about getting married to her. In confusion, she says “I’m eating my lunch.” After a second she felt embarrassed on what she just said cause that was not the question he asked her. She apologized, and so they both started talking generally about University and life. They both knew they would not get along each other because whenever Zaid agreed on something Anna disagreed. They tried talking again the next day just to get to know the other person well but they failed, it led to a fight between the two for such a small cause, it was that Zaid did not help Anna for her assignment and so Anna got disappointed and said so many useless things to Zaid, he did not say anything in return because he did not want to be rude.

They both talked to their parents and told them that they can not get along each other because they do not have a good understanding between each other. Zaid explained to his father that she is not the right one, and how she disagrees on mostly everything Zaid agrees on. Anna talked to her mother and explained to her how Zaid is very conservative and is not her type. Kamal and Maheen still tried their best to convey their children to get married to each other, they wanted this to happen because both of the families knew each other for a long period of time and they know their children will live a happy and enjoyable life.

The next day at University Zaid took Maha, Anna’s friend out for dinner. Zaid only took Maha out because she was really pretty and mostly every boy knew that she only uses men, for money not love. He only loved her for her looks. Zaid described Maha as beautiful as a rose that blooms as soon as spring comes. Maha took the advantage of being attractive and made Zaid like her. Anna got to know through viewing Maha and Zaid’s stories on Snapchat and Instagram. She got very furious and so she asked Zaid, “If you know you are going to marry me, why did you take Maha out for dinner?” Zaid was confused at first, and then refused to answer her. Anna asked him again and so he yelled out “MAHA!”

Anna told her mum about Zaid taking her friend out, her mother got mad and went to Kamal to discuss about it. When they were talking about what consequences Zaid should face for doing this act, Zaid opens the door gently since he saw Anna’s car outside. He walks in as nothing has happened and runs up to his room. Kamal shouts out “ZAID!” Zaid ignores his father at first, his father yells again. Zaid comes running down the stairs and asked what happened as nothing had happened and so his father starts scolding him for what a shameful act he did and hurt Anna’s feelings. Kamal tells Maheen whatever you want to say to Zaid or any consequences she wants him to face Maheen is more than welcome to do it. Maheen forgives Zaid and tells him not to do anything like that again, Zaid felt really insulted and asked for apology from Anna and her mother.
