Once Upon a Time, there was a brother and sister named Hansel and Gretel.

One day, Hansel and Gretel's mother sent them on a journey to the nearby village. She gave them a loaf of bread, but not for food. She told them to drop pieces of the bread as they went to find their way back home. The children were eager to leave for they had never been to the village before!

So, Hansel and Gretel adventured out just like their mother had told them to. The journey usually took a couple hours.

?
A couple hours passed by, and Hansel and Gretel's mother started to worry. She knew her children well enough to know they wouldn't be out this long. But she also trusted them. So, she waited for three days before calling the village authorities.

The authorities arrived and immediately started working. They walked from the house towards the village to try and track the siblings down. There were small footprints on a path not leading to the village, so they decided to follow those. While on this path, they noticed were two lollipops on the ground. They looked like they had been chewed on, so they tested both for traces of DNA. A tiny bit of DNA from both lollipops was able to be extracted from the candies, and matched both Hansel and Gretel. So the police knew that they had been there recently.

The police continued to follow the beaten path, until they stumbled upon a house made out of candy. Before the police had left, Hansel and Gretel's mother had told them that she sent them with a loaf of bread. They were very happy to find the loaf of bread right outside the house. There next move was to go inside the house and hopefully find Hansel and Gretel.

When the authorities got inside, they were disappointed to find nobody there. But what they were surprised to find was a note. They note read: "I HAVE YOUR CHILDREN. IF YOU WANT THEM BACK, I NEED A LOT OF MONEY + CANDY. YOU HAVE TWO DAYS OR ELSE..." The police automatically suspected who this was, but to be extra cautious they had their handwriting analysis team take a look at the writing. The team worked quickly, and was able to match the writing to The Wicked Witch. This wasn't the first time she had pulled a stunt like this, to the police were determined to find her.

The authorities searched and searched for one of the many places that she was suspected to be. First they checked her candy house in the hamptons, but she was no where to be found.
