Dedicated to Frederick Douglass.
He inspired me to write about another inspirational person who changed the world.

Ruby Bridges went to an all black school named Johnson Lockett. Then one day at the age of 6 she was transferred. She was transferred to William Franz Elementry(and all white school). Many parents were furious they didn't like a black girl going to a white school.

One day on September, 8 1945 a baby girl named Ruby Bridges was born. She was born in Tylertown. She lived with her mom, dad, and siblings. Ruby lived in a time were there was segregation, meaning black people and white people were separated. Examples are like white people had there own schools were black children couldn't go. Same with whites, they couldn't go to black schools. Most whites hated blacks.
When she was there she was tormented and even threatened. Protesters demanded her leave. One day after getting ready for school ruby walked outside... She found a black doll in a coffin to represent her. She was so shaken up that she had nightmares for weeks. She was TERRIFIED.

A few days after Ruby was at that school women protesters began to take there children out of the school. They hated blacks so much that they stopped their children's learning and education. They didn't see a little girl walk into that school they saw change.
- Ruby Bridge.

After all that torment it made Ruby even more determined to make a change. Then later on after almost a whole school year there wasn't much torment or threats. She even had white friends. She was finally happy there.

Ruby Bridges made a change by going to an all white school! People started to integrate. There were integrated schools all over the country. This filled ruby with happiness.

That night, while she lay down to rest Ruby Bridges thought wow I did that I made a change. She told herself that if she could help stop segregation then she could do anything!
The end
Hopfully you found some inspiration from Ruby.
