Joshua Lawrence was a young college professor the union was looking for a colonel Joshua walk in a sign up room they chose him to lead the 20th main which was the first of its kind Joshua's brother tom Lawrence Chamberlain named that regiment.

Joshua played a every important rule in the civil war but we'll talk about that later. Joshua's regiment was small at first there was 200 hundred men then Joshua got a letter from a different regiment that had solider who had fought and told they could leave but it was basically lie they where given to Joshua he was told he could shoot them if they did listen but he didn't he did not like that.

Joshua gave a speech to the new men

"I hear what one of you had to say i ask you to please join me i don't know what they'll do to you if you don't they say i can shoot you but i wont i know some of you join this war because.

You love war or love killing or your bored but we are the last defense so," he then said

"he have little bit of food we'll be marching soon so get ready to eat,"

that day when they where marching a town Joshua was told by his aid

"Chamberlain get on dam horse,"

Joshua said

A colonel doesn't ride a horse all day,"

His brother came running and said

"Lawrence Lawrence!! guess what,"

"what said Joshua,"

tom said " the large group of solider join us and all but 3 did not,"

Joshua was amazed he know had 1197 men to fight with him in the war

but. Joshua had never been in a fight.

This is where Joshua Lawerence Chamberlin important role was little round top but why why a mountain. This why the Rebs would come up that mountain Jousha must hold his position or else the Rebs could come from behind the union and we would not know.
