Every morning as Sarah would wake up
for school, Sarah's mom would make sure
she was up and ready. Mama was always
fixing breakfast for Edward, Papa and I.
As I walked to Kitchen I could smell the
fresh coffee brewing, I could hear the
morning news. Mama had my favorite
cereal and Edwards toast bread with jam.
Mama and Papa would say our morning
prayers before the bus arrived.

Every Morning at Charles
Elementary it was loud and full of
energy and the teachers were
always greeting us. My five friends
and I would meet at the gym before
class. We would talk, laugh, play,
and wait for the bell to ring. When
Ms. Davis picked our class up she
always had a smile on and she was
so glad to see us.

Our Morning routines consisted of putting our
backpacks away, getting ready for our morning
announcements, and our warm ups. Through out the
day we would go from learning Math, Science,
Language Arts, Lunch, then to Learning Centers. Ms.
Davis would have all of the class clean our areas and
get ready to end our day.

As Emily, Kendall, Kim, Clarissa and I
waited for our bus to come we would
talk about all the things we were going
to do after school. As Edward and I
arrived home we would do our
homework, while Mama would prepare
dinner.

As we would sit down at the dinner table we
would laugh, talk about each others day. But
this night was different because Papa
starting saying, ''That he loved us very much
and no matter what life would bring us we
would always have each other.'' And papa
said in a sad voice that we were being
stationed in Hawaii. That's when my heart
dropped because I started thinking to myself
I have to leave my home, my friends, my
school.

The next morning as the bus picked up Edward and I. It
was a long and quite morning to school. I was gathering
my thoughts on how I was going to tell my friends we
were moving away. We arrived and I ran to the gym to see
Emily, Kendall, Kim, Clarissa and I said with a sad voice,"
I'm MOVING AWAY"! Ms. Davis came to get us ready to
start our day and she had already told my classmates.
Tears started coming down my cheeks and I felt very
devastated.

As Ms. Davis was getting my things
together. I said my last goodbyes to my
classmates. I hugged my Five Best
Friends for the last time. And, now it was
time to go home because Mama and
Edward were ready. As we left school, I
knew things were going to be different.
