10. Willis Tower (Chicago, United States) - 442 meters
Built in 1974, Willis Tower is the second tallest building in the United States and has 108 floors with a total height of 442 meters. It was the tallest building in the world for 25 years, and by 2009 it was known as the official Sears Tower. The building is made mainly of steel and is intended for office space for companies. At present, the most important tenant of the building is United Airlines.
9. Zifeng Tower (Nanjing, China) - 450 meters
Even though it is located in Nanjing, the Zifeng Tower building was designed by American company Skidmore, Owings and Merrill with composite materials. Inaugurated in 2010, it has a height of 450 meters and 89 floors, and its functionality is a complex one: besides retail and office spaces on the lower floors, it also benefits from a hotel with restaurant and a public observer on the floors Best.
7-8. Petronas Towers - (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) - 452 meters
Petronas Tower are the world's tallest twin towers and have a height of 452 meters spread over 88 floors. Located in the immediate vicinity of the Formula 1 circuit that hosts the Grand Prix of Malaysia each year, the two towers were made of reinforced concrete, while the facades are made of glass and steel. One of the towers is fully occupied by Petronas state oil company, while the second one has tenants such as Bloomberg and Reuters, the aircraft manufacturer Boeing or IBM.
6. International Commerce Center (Hong Kong) - 484 meters
With a height of 484 meters, the International Commerce Center is the tallest building in Hong Kong and has 118 floors. Inaugurated in 2010 as an essential part of the Union Square project, the building houses many office spaces, but also the most elevated hotel: Ritz-Carlton has rooms between the 102-118 floors of the building. Tourists and employees have at their disposal 83 elevators to reach the desired floor.
5. Shanghai World Financial Center (Shanghai, China) - 492 meters
Shanghai's most important financial center is located in the Pudong district and is 492 meters high. The 101 stories have multiple functionality: the ground floor there are shopping malls, and the floors are found office space, conference rooms, observation decks and the Park Hyatt Shanghai, which offers rooms on floors 79-93.
