Once upon a time there was a kind and talented girl named Camille. She had a mean and cruel stepmother and two spoiled little stepsisters. They lived on a beautiful island named Madivi right along the coast. She worked all day and night for them. By the end of each day she was worn out! Right before Camille crawled into bed each night she would watch Prince Adam surf the waves. Camille wished that someday she could just like him. The next day Camille got up bright and early doing her jobs that her stepmother gave her. She made them breakfast with pineapples and coconuts from there trees around the island. As they were eating there breakfast that Camille prepared for them. Camille's stepmother told her to go get the mail.

You are invited to Prince Adams surf party tomorrow.

As she was walking back to the house she came upon a letter that said "you are invited to Prince Adams surf party tomorrow." Camille was super exited and went inside to show her stepmother. Her stepmother and stepsisters were to vary exited. For the rest of the day Camille was very sad that she could not go to the surf part and surf with prince Adam! As the day went by it was finally nighttime and Camille again watched the sunset as prince Adam rode the waves. Then Camille decided that she should get some rest and go to sleep. As she slept she dreamed about going to the surf party and for once not doing work constantly. The next morning Camille got up and made breakfast. She new that the day was very exciting for her stepmother and stepsisters since they were going to prince Adam’s party so she made pineapple waffles and coconut juice from there local trees.

After breakfast they got ready all except for Camille. They were set to go with there boards and all and set of to the party. Camille was sad that she was not able to go, so she went down to the coast right outside their house and started to lightly cry. Suddenly she saw something swimming in the ocean. Out popped a magical mermaid with hair as blond as corn and a tail as colorful as a rainbow. The mermaid said “Sweet girl what is wrong?” Camille told her that her cruel stepmother wouldn't let her go to Prince Adam’s surf party at the beach. She said there was no way she could go because they would recognize her. So the kind mermaid said that she would make sure that they wouldn't recognize her by giving her a new swimsuit and surfboard. Camille was very happy and thanked the mermaid for all that she gave her! Camille happily made her way to the prince’s surf party.

It was amazing, so many people were there! Some people were surfing,  some were talking and eating on the shore, and some were swimming in the ocean. But then Camille I saw Adam and what a talented surfer he was, he acted like it was nothing. Well, what was Camille waiting for? She  rushed into the nice cool water and swam out into the ocean till she saw the right wave. “There it was big and bold wave coming right at me.” I got up on my new board that the kind mermaid gave me and SPLASH, I was surfing! Camille could not believe it, she  had her arms out and was surfing smooth. Then Camille noticed that everyone in and out of the ocean was looking at her and clapping.

Then the prince noticed Camille  and was impressed at her skill! The prince whispered to himself “no girl on this island can surf as well as she can” he exclaimed. After the wave ended Camille did a solid flip into the ocean at headed up to the shore. Many people were telling her how great she was at surfing and that she was a natural. Camille was very proud of herself. Then Camille  saw that the prince was heading over to her she was nervous but really excited. He said  “Hey you were amazing out there!” Camille said “Thank you, you are an amazing surfer too!” The prince offered her too surf with him  and Camille said yes, I would love that. So, Camille and prince Adam went out into the ocean and surfed with each other for the rest of the party. Then they decided to take a break and go get something to eat.

Breakfast

As they were on the shore Camille noticed that her stepmother and stepsisters were walking towards them. Camille quickly ran back home before her stepmother and stepsisters noticed her.  Camille was sad that she never got a chance to say bye to the prince. The next morning Camille started cleaning and getting breakfast ready in her old ragged clothes like always. As she was cleaning and making breakfast Camille was dreaming about how amazing last night was surfing with the prince. Then Camille realized that she was in such a rush getting home  that she forgot to grab her surfboard! She thought “Well if I brought it back home with me then my step sisters would have realized it was me.” As the day went on they suddenly heard a knock on there door. Her stepmother said “Who could it possibly be knocking on our door?”

The Stepmother when to go see who it was. She opened the squeaky door and she was surprised to see that the prince was standing there with a message. He said “I lost the girl I was surfing with yesterday. She is the best and most talented girl at  surfing on this whole island. I need to find her so that I can marry her. “ The stepmother said “Then why are you hear?” The prince said “because I don't know where and who she is so I challenge every girl on this island to a surfing competition and whoever is the best I will know that is the girl who suffered with me at the party so that I can marry her.” The stepmother was excited that her daughters could have a chance to marry the prince, but the question was were they good enough surfers. Camille was listening as she was cleaning up lunch. The prince said “have your daughters along with every other girl on this island met me at the beach in 15 minutes.”
