In our second collaborative writing project we have once again teamed up with NYSS to co-write a set of books aimed at younger audiences. This time our purpose is to raise awareness about environmental issues. I hope you enjoy the stories.

Once again it is our honor to partner with Island School in running a writing workshop for our Form One students. Through the creation of their own stories about the environment, as well as interaction with IS students in English, their confidence has been greatly enhanced.

Once upon a time, there was a superhero called Flying Green. He cared a lot

about the environment. His super power was that he could spot rubbish from a thousand meters. He hated that people bought goods that had so much plastic packaging, and even worse, that they often couldn't be bothered to recycle it, or much of their rubbish at all. His mission was to get everyone to recycle their rubbish.

Flying Green's arch enemy was Evil Red. He loved nothing more than leaving chaos and mess everywhere he went. His super power was to make everyone

really lazy, so they couldn't be bothered to rinse out their used plastic and tins so they could be recycled, or take the extra few seconds it would take for them to find a recycle bin and use it.

Flying Green was working in a fast food restaurant in a small town near the sea. He was working there because he kept finding fast food packaging on the streets, and on the beach. He was very concerned and wanted to remind people to recycle their rubbish properly so it wouldn't end up in the sea.

Make sure you put all of that rubbish in the proper recycling bins.
