Hi my name is Emma and when I was young I lived a happy life, well for a little at least. My family was wealthy and my parents always bought me the most expensive gifts but I wasn't spoiled.

When it was lunch time my mum would always prepare food but it would always get burnt, I still ate it but my parents threw theirs in the bin and ordered pizza instead. I didn't mind eating the burnt food but I didn't know I had to face the consequences.

After a few days I became really ill and told my parents, they immediately called the hospital.

The hospital van came and took me,leaving my parents behind.

It was a long trip and I ended up falling asleep and woke up in a hospital room, on top of a bed.

W-where am I?

I asked my self "where am I?" and surprisingly, a deep soothing voice answered me and I was shocked and scared.

It was a doctor! He apologized for scaring me and I forgave him and then asked him another question "why am I in the hospital, I only threw up, it must be that my belly feels sick or something, right?"

Why am I even at the hospital, I only threw up, it's not that serious

The doctor replied "I'm not really sure what's wrong with you but we will have to take a sample of your blood and see what's wrong." I was confused and asked "how are you going to take a sample of my blood?" The doctor paused for a second and went out of the room. I was even more curious than before and a bit scared...

The doctor came back into the room holding a needle in his hand and I started to cry. He reassured me that it won't hurt at all so I had to believe him.

The doctor was right, it didn't hurt at all. The doctor told me that a nurse will come in to give me food and that he will go examine the blood sample and with that he left.
