Summer time is hot

Summer time is beautiful

Summer time is fun                   

The white snow glistens 

Winter is a frozen season

The lake frozen over

The autumn leafs fall

Crunching the leaves under my feet

The crisp autumn breeze

The spring flowers grow again

The sweet smell of the flowers

The smells of spring time

The Frog

Such a slimy and slippery

Little thing

As the frog squirms and try’s to

Break free of my hands

So I lay him down inside a can. 

My Dog

A little rough around the edges

If he doesn’t know you you’ll jump the hedges

So every day he waits and waits when everyone comes home so late

So if you get to come inside just fore warning his name is Clyde.

Ode

My great grandpa

Is my idol and always has been.

Still at ninety five he works cattle,

His hands are so callused that they feel like rocks. (simile)

If you ever are around my grandpa,

 He never knows when to put his money where his mouth (idiom)

 Is but that’s one thing that I idolize.

 He’s never afraid to speak his mind.

The way my grandpa shows he’s grateful is a cruel kindness. (oxymoron)

Basketball is an emotion to me.

Some people feel happy or sad; I feel basketball.

The basketball is like a person; you treat it right and you’ll go far.

But if you treat it wrong, then you won’t go as far in the sport.

When you step on the court for tip off, the adrenalin rush

Is like no other. The swish of the ball in the net is an amazing feeling.

Tornado

The sky grew black,

like the midnight hour

As the air grew still,

the sirens wailed out.

The people of Kansas already knew

what to do.                                                                                                     

 They all ran for cover like

scared field mice,

As the angry tornado appeared

to wipe out all things in its path. 

Spring Break

The rise of the thermometer 

was as red as the sun burn on his back.

As the trees danced happily

in the gentle spring breeze,

the smell of fresh cut grass

and the smell of chlorine ,

from the pool filled his nose

as the last rays of light

slipped away from view .

This makes the break complete.
