We are excited to share a little about each of us with all of you!

Places Lived - Victoria

I have lived in Georgia all my life. From the time I was born until 6th grade I lived in Kennesaw, GA. The summer before my 7th grade year my family moved to the West Georgia area. I have moved a few times since then but always stayed in the general area. I enjoy living in the South (where the tea is sweet and y'all is a word) and don't have any plans to move.
Places Lived - Sandra

I have lived in Bremen, Georgia, for almost all my life. I lived in Carrollton for a brief period during college, and my husband and I lived in Villa Rica for a few years after we married, but we have been back in Bremen since 2001.
I lived in Magnolia Township, New Jersey, for two whole months, during which time I turned 21! My residency there was cut short when my brother, with whom I was living, got a job in Marietta, Georgia. We happily moved home to Georgia. :-)

I started my undergraduate at KSU which I then completed at WGU in 2014.
In 2018 I earned my master's degree in middle grades Language Arts at Piedmont College.
I am currently enrolled in the specialist program at UWG.

I completed my undergraduate degree at UWG in 2000. I went on to complete my master's degree at UWG in 2008, and I am currently working on my specialist degree, also at UWG. I am a die-hard wolf!!
Significant Other - Victoria
Andy and I met in English class our freshman year. He made a joke and
I was the only one in the class to laugh.
To this day we thrive on laughter.
We were friends all through high
school but did not date until the
summer after our senior year. This September we will celebrate 11 years
of marriage. Andy and I are an example of opposites attract. I am thankful for all the balance he brings as my better half.

Kirk and I met at the Hardee's drive-thru when I said, "Welcome to Hardee's. May I take your order please?" Haha!! I was only 19 and he was 25. We married three years later. :-) We recently celebrated our 25th anniversary. He is the steady; I am the crazy. He is the logical; I am the emotional. He is a hard worker, wonderful provider, and the Godly head of our home.
Children - Victoria

Gavin is our oldest. He was born in March of 2009. He is all boy but has a heart of gold.

Chloe is our 'middle little'. She was born in October of 2012. She is our little peacemaker and has a servants' heart.
Kinsey is the baby and her siblings treat her as so doing anything she wants. She was born in August of 2017. She is spunky and happy and loves to sleep.
Children - Sandra

Charles Caleb Hopkins was the first one to make me a mom. He was 8 years old when I married his father, and he lived with us full time until he graduated from high school in 2004. He is now 33 and living in North Charleston, South Carolina.
After 9 years of marriage, Kirk and I decided it was time to have a child together. Jeremy made our family complete when he was born on December 26, 2003. He is now 15 years old and will be a junior in high school in the fall. He loves all things technical and even built his own computer last summer!
Pets - Victoria
Luke is our Blue Heeler rescue. We call him 'the babysitter' because anywhere our children he goes and just watches. He barks if they do something he doesn't like such as, jumping on the trampoline.
Jake is our Standard Poodle. He is only 12 weeks old and is in the full-on puppy stage. We are excited to watch him grow.

Pets - Sandra

Tiny is the younger of my two cats and a total diva! She loves to climb into my school bag or lie on top of the papers I bring home to grade. She is a typical "scaredy-cat."
Stewart is the older of the two, and he rules the roost! His favorite things are:
1) Hanging out with my hubby
2) Attacking Tiny
Favorite Field Trip - Victoria

In October, we take our students to Mastermind Escape Room. I love this field trip because it allows us to encourage team building and see the various strengths of our students!
Favorite Field Trip - Sandra

Every May, we take our 7th grade students to Blue Ridge Outdoor Education Center outside of Toccoa, Georgia, for a 3-day field trip. I still look forward to this trip even after making the trek 13 times!
