Once upon time, in a faraway land, there lived a stepmother. Everyone thought this stepmother was wicked because her stepdaughter told many people how her stepmother made her do all the chores and let her stepbrothers get away with doing nothing all day. Little did those people know, but the girl--her name was Cinderella-- stretched the truth often to make everyone feel sorry for her.
Cinderella had a bad habit of procrastinating. Saturdays in her household were designated for cleaning house. Because Cinderella always put off her responsibilities until the last minute, she was getting in trouble a lot. Her room was a disaster. A tiny mouse, whom she named Gusto, had made himself a home in her garbage-filled room. Additionally, Cinderella was not very nice to others, so her only friend was the overstuffed-on-leftovers-rodent named Gusto. Cinderella was a party all night and sleep all day kind of gal. She had no room in her life for chores and work.

As for her two stepbrothers, Coopsella and Truettasia, they had to do all the grunt work around the house, while Cinderella slept in every weekend past one o’clock in the afternoon.

One fateful afternoon, the school had a homecoming ball. Cinderella wanted to go to this ball because at that glorious dance, Prince Zacheus would announce who he chose as his girlfriend (for that week). Unfortunately for Cinderella, she had not completed her weekend housekeeping chores. Once her responsible, caring, dignified stepmother found out that she did did not fulfill her cleaning duties, she grounded her. The stepmother said, “I’m sorry Cinderella. You cannot go to the ball unless you get this room completely spotless and your closet organized.” Cinderella replied, “Buuuut, stepmom. This will take forever! I promise I will do it after the ball. Please let me go?” Regretfully, the stepmother informed her, “No, Cinderella. You must learn your lesson. You need to be more responsible. I have spoken. You are not allowed to go to the ball unless you clean up this mess!”
Cinderella was furious. She group-chatted all her classmates, telling them how horrible her stepmother was. She told them that her stepmother was making her clean the whole house. Her stepbrother, Coopsella, happened to walk by at that time and was just about to offer to help Cinderella clean up her horrendous room. But before Coopsella could get a word out, Cinderella chased him with a closed fist and yelled angrily at him to get out of her room this instant! Again, Cinderella made a horrible choice.

??!?!?!?!?!?

To DO:
Sweep the porches
Wash the dog
Feed the fish
Empty the cat's litter box
Put the mail in the mailbox
Later on as the stepmother (who was chaperoning the ball) and the stepbrothers were getting ready for the ball, Cinderella kept whining and complaining that life just was not fair. The stepmother had just about had enough. One more time, Cinderella threw a pity-party so the stepmother added a few more chores on to Cinderella’s list of things to do. This infuriated Cinderella. Instead of getting started on her chores, Cinderella decided to find a way to get out of her responsibilities.
Going through her phone book, Cinderella came across her aunt’s phone number. Her aunt, who was chosen to be her godmother after Cinderella’s birth would surely help her with all of this tragedy. So Cinderella called her aunt. After telling a slightly altered version of the truth, Cinderella talked her aunt into coming over while her stepmother and step brothers were out of the house and “helping” Cinderella with the work.
Auntie,
Please save me from my wicked stepmother!!!
I'm on my way

A short time later, Cinderella’s aunt showed up with her mop and broom (and a substantial amount of trash bags).Cinderella was in the shower getting ready for the ball, so her aunt let herself into the house. She almost fainted when she saw the atmosphere of Cinderella’s catastrophic room. Since Cinderella was in the shower, the godmother aunt decided to get to work. An hour later, Cinderella emerged from the bathroom. Her aunt had already tackled about one fourth of the mess. Cinderella was so happy. In fact, Cinderella now had another brilliant idea. Still trying to gain sympathy from the aunt, Cinderella told her about how her one true love would be at the ball, and she just had to get there right now. She also mentioned she needed money for a really awesome dress that she had had her eye on for awhile. It was only $200. Cinderella talked her aunt into continuing to clean her room for her, give her money, and fix her hair before she ran off to the dance. As Cinderella was leaving the house, the aunt thought to herself how horrible her stepmother must be for not letting this young girl in love go find her prince. How could such an evil monster exist? Then she continued to do Cinderella’s work for her.
