Dedicated to my precious Pug, Hercules. May you always live like the gate has been left open.

It was just beginning to warm up outside. Winter had ended. The sun was shining every day. I love hearing the birds sing and chasing Sampson around the yard. Sampson is an old, grouchy cat that doesn't like to play with me, but I refuse to give up on our friendship. Anyways, everything was perfect about spring until I overheard my mommy saying she was going to take me to get "fixed."
Adventure #1
The Great Escape
"Fixed?" I don't know exactly what happens when you get fixed, but I do know you have to do two things that I hate. Number one, I cant eat after midnight. Number two, I'll have to go to the vet.

That's why I have to escape. As soon as my mommy loaded me up in Uncle Dennis' truck and closed the camper shell, I began pawing, gnawing, and scratching until the latch opened. Finally, I was free from my cage, and the only thing that held me back from freedom was an old camper shell. With each bump we hit, the camper shell flew open and then closed again. I waited until the timing was right, and I jumped out.

"FREE AT LAST," I barked! I searched for hours to find my mommy, but the only thing I stumbled upon for three days was some old cows. I was hungry, thirsty, and had ticks all over my body.

"I GIVE UP!" I screamed. I've walked for days without any signs of my mommy. Is anyone even looking for me?

Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, it started to storm. I never felt more lonely in my life. I had been alone for so long that I was starting to hear voices.
Hercules...Where are you? Come here, Boy....

Such good memories....
Hercules......

There you are, Hercules! I've missed you so much!

Mommy took me to the vet the following week. Being "fixed" wasn't that bad. I got extra snuggle time, treats, and I even got to sleep in my mommy's bed.
Adventure #2
Pooptastrophe
Sometimes when my parents are gone, it makes me mad. I know being mad isn't good, but I just can't help it. They are always having fun without me. Without anyone home I have a lot of time to think.
