Preparations for Winter on the Farm
On a splendid autumn day, the farmers went out into the fields to gather hay, preparing for the winter that was approaching swiftly. The wind gently blew, and the leaves of the trees were turning shades of yellow and orange. The farmers worked hard, transforming the green grass into a sea of round bales, shining like golden treasures in the field.
These bales of hay were very important for the cows, sheep, and other animals on the farm. When winter would bring snow and frost, the grass would stop growing, and the animals needed good food to stay healthy and happy. The hay smelled of fresh, dried grass, and this inviting scent spread through the air, bringing a sense of warmth and comfort.
The sun shone softly in the sky, casting golden rays over the bales, which stood lined up like soldiers guarding the field. Little Bella the cow and her friends, the playful lambs and curious piglets, gathered around the farmer. Bella, with her white and brown coat and bright, shining eyes, joyfully watched as the farmers went about their work.
"Look at all the delicious hay we have! Winter will be a delight for us!" Bella said, smiling at her friends. The lambs responded with their bleats, and the piglets happily scampered around, jumping over the bales.
As the sun began to set, the sky filled with shades of pink and violet, and everything turned golden. The bales seemed to rest, ready to feed their furry friends when the cold would come. The animals settled in their shelter, feeling the warmth and safety of their beloved farm.
And so, on the farm, everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of winter, knowing they would have plenty of hay to keep them well cared for. For in each bale of hay was a promise of love and care from the farmers, ensuring that all their friends would be happy and healthy, even on the coldest winter days.

Happy piglet
On a farm, deep in the forest, lived a pink piglet with a curled tail like a spring and big pink
ears, whose name was Stavroula. She lived on Mr. John's farm and ate herbs, apples, pumpkins
and all vegetables. Her favorite toy was the mud bath. Every day, she was asking Mr. John to
pour water for her in the yard of his house to make mud and together with her brothers roll
like the barrels, right-left, right-left. Stavroula was the happiest little pig.
Every morning, Mr. John opened the door of her little house and together with her little
brothers she followed him and they went for a walk. They would reach the lake with ducks and
immediately run to bathe and splash with the ducks, playing happily.
At noon, Mr. John would say to them "and now, my little ones, it's time to go back to our
home" and they would quickly follow him and make their way back happily because their
ummies were growling from hunger.
The lunch menu had bananas, apples and some cauliflower from the orchard. The little pigs, as soon as they saw Mr. John approaching with his orange bucket, ran up to him smiling and eating carelessly like “pigs”. After their bellies were full they would go into their little house and sleep in mommy and daddy's arms for about two hours.
In the afternoon, they went for a walk with little ducks on the farm and were ready for lots
of teasing. They were chasing the hens back and forth, back and forth and the rooster was
shouting "leave my chickens alone". Everyone laughed with their hearts out until the moon rose in the sky with the stars

The Little Scarecrow and the Winged Heroes
Once upon a time, on Mr. John’s farm, lived two scarecrows — a mother scarecrow and her little child. They had a wonderful time on the farm, with many friends. Their best friends were the little birds of the farm.
One day, however, it started to rain, and the wind blew fiercely. The strong wind carried the mother scarecrow far away. The little scarecrow was very sad and cried…
-"Mommy, where are you? Where is my mommy?" it kept asking while sobbing.
The little birds heard the scarecrow’s cries and quickly flew to its side. They asked why it was so sad, upon learning that the mother scarecrow was missing. But soon, they came up with a solution. They started flying far and wide in search of her.
First, they searched all over the farm, then beyond it. They were very tired but kept looking. Suddenly, from high above, they saw something moving in a distant field…
It was the mother scarecrow! She saw the birds and called for help. The birds reassured her not to be afraid and that they would soon rescue her. They quickly flew back to the farm and told Mr. John what had happened. Mr. John followed the birds with his tractor, and after finding the mother scarecrow, he brought her back to the farm.
As soon as they saw each other, the mother scarecrow and the little scarecrow embraced with joy. They hugged tightly, overjoyed to be reunited. The birds chirped and flew happily around them. And they all lived happily ever after.

Welcome to our magical business farm!
Our farm is not just any ordinary farm – it’s located in a playroom where imagination grows like carrots after the rain! The main farmer is farmer Janez, who makes sure everything runs smoothly every day. Together with the children and animals, we create, explore, and learn how to care for nature, animals and our community.
The day begins with great fun – the children make and paint their own tractor, which we use to go to work around the “farm.” Along the way, our four-legged friends await us – Piki the dog, Poldi the pig, and Maksi the big-eater pig, who eats a large wheelbarrow of turnips every day! Next to the barn, our milky queen Mici awaits us. Mici gives us fresh milk every day, from which we then prepare homemade cottage cheese and proudly offer it at the milk market.
Once the work with the animals is done, it’s time to get creative! We happily tackle shelling corn, cleaning pumpkins, and even planting radishes, carrots and sweet strawberries. A special place on our farm is the garden, where flowers grow out of old boots – a real little botanica l wonder!
For those who love horses, we have a stick horse – we gallop with it across the pasture. Occasionally, we are also delighted by a performance of The three little pigs, where the children themselves act and create the puppets.
Of course, don’t forget our sheep! When we shear it, we make soft products from it's wool through felting – each child creates their own woolen treasure. In the nature around the farm, we plant acorns together – small trees have already grown from them, which will one day provide shade for new generations of little farmers.
Our farm is not just a place to play – it’s a place where children learn the values of nature, work, cooperation and kindness. Every day brings a new adventure, a new smile and a new lesson.

The Party
One clear morning, Lolla the cow woke up with a wonderful idea:
- We're going to have a big party for all the farm animals! she said, wagging her tail.
She immediately went in search of the three playful little piglets, who were rolling in the mud and having a great time.
- Hey, boys! Wanna join me in a party? With music and games and corn pie?
- Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Let's bring balloons, garlands and... maybe carrot cake! - cried the piglets in chorus.
While the animals were preparing the merriment, Mr. John, the gentle and ever-smiling farmer, observed them from a distance.
- What are you darlings up to? he asked, approaching with his basket full of apples.
- A party! - Lolla replied enthusiastically. - And we need your help.
Mr. John laughed and pulled an old pick-up truck out of the barn, filled with colorful flags, lights, and even a small speaker playing cheerful farm songs.
- Then let's have the best party ever!
Dora the Duck Duckling brought a reed flute, Riki the Rooster began to rehearse his morning song, and Lila the Sheep spread the blankets on the grass.
When the sun hid behind the hills, the party began. The animals danced in a circle, the piglets held a balloon-chasing contest, and Lolla handed out slices of corn pie.
Mr. John sat in a wooden chair, apple in hand, smiling at how happy everyone was.
- That's the best part of having a farm - he said. - The friendship and the joy!

The sad donkey
On Mr. John's farm, there lives a brown donkey with a big belly, a long tail, a black muzzle and her name is Dory. Dory really likes to play with his little brothers and his parents. He's a happy little donkey. They are best friends with Mr. John and have even taken on the heaviest and most difficult jobs on the farm. Doris wears his “samari”, more specifically his saddle, and carries the food for the hens as well as the vegetables and fruits from the orchard and trees.
One day, it was morning, Mr. John left the farm gate open and the donkey went to eat fresh grass in the neighboring field. Hungry as he was he forgot himself and went on so far that he came close to the next town. As soon as he realized this, he was very scared and asked for help from a passerby in donkey language. The stranger pulled hard on his leash and as you know the donkeys don't like that at all. Doris was stubborn and stood still. Then the stranger, as he got mad he gave a great kick to Dory’s butt, so hard that it not only hurt the donkey's body but also hurt his heart.
As soon as Mr. John saw from a distance what was happening, he ran to the donkey and shouted to the stranger "Stop, don't do that, it hurts". In fact, he immediately called the police, put Doris in the carrier of his car and rushed him to the vet.
Fortunately, the little donkey only had a small bruise but the sorrow in his little heart was great. Mr. John hugged his donkey tenderly and said “I know you are sad. You will see, at some point your sad heart will be healed with much joy. Don't put it down my dear friend” and so they returned to the farm.
Mr. John fed Dory and made him lie down in the warm. The next day, the donkey was looking forward to seeing Mr. John. He was expecting a pat on the head and a sweet talk because love can heal sorrow and everyone on the farm was one big family.

The Musical Story of Mr. John's Farm
Mr. John owned a small farm at the edge of a quiet village. Every morning, just as the sun peeked over the hills, the farm would come to life — not just with movement, but with music.
The first to wake up was Daisy the cow. She would stretch her legs, blink at the morning light, and let out a long, low "MooOOO!" that echoed through the valley. It was deep and slow, like the bass line of a song. Mr. John used to say Daisy's moo was the farm's morning drumbeat.
Soon after, Penny the pig would roll out of her straw bed and trot through the mud with a happy "Oink, oink!" Each oink had a rhythm to it — short and snappy. When she trotted, the mud made squishy sounds that added texture to the farm's music, like little beats on a soft drum.
Next came Clara the chicken, flapping out of the coop with her usual flurry of feathers. She clucked quickly and sharply — "Cluck-cluck-cluck!" — like little notes played on a xylophone. Every time she laid an egg, she added a triumphant "Bwak!" which was always the high note of the morning melody.
Buddy the dog, the farm’s loyal guardian, loved music too. He didn't just bark — he sang in his own way. Sometimes he'd let out a long, proud "Awooo!" from the top of the haystack. He often howled along when Mr. John played his harmonica in the evenings, creating a duet between man and dog.
Even the wind had its part in the symphony, whistling softly through the barn slats and rustling the corn stalks like a gentle background tune. The ducks in the pond splashed in rhythm, the horse’s hooves made a steady clop, and the cat’s purring sounded like a quiet hum that tied everything together. Mr. John didn’t need a radio. Each day, he walked through the farm with a smile on his face, listening to the animals’ natural orchestra. To him, it was the most beautiful music in the world.

Babis the Brave
The Dog of Mr. John’s Farm Babis he barked at butterflies. He barked at shadows. He even barked at his tail. “I’m protecting the farm!” he said.
One day, Babis saw something scary by the barn.
“A MONSTER!” he shouted. Everyone ran — the sheep, the chickens, even Mr. John. Babis charged.....and found a garden gnome.
“Oops,” he said. “False alarm.” Later, he heard a tiny squeak in the barn.
This time, he looked closely. It was a baby mouse, stuck in a bucket.
Babis gently helped it out and gave it a hug with his paw.
The animals cheered. “You really are brave!” said the sheep.
Babis wagged his tail proudly.....then walked into a fence.
And they lived happily ever after...
