Before taking this course I was unaware of what Bloom's Taxonomy was or how to use it. This class was my first experience with the topic, I found it to be challenging and I was a bit confused on how to use it in the beginning. But now I think that it is a critical tool for forming clear and well thought out objectives for students to achieve in a lesson. I would use the levels of Blooms Taxonomy to determine what type of thinking each objective requires. It is crucial to make clear the expectations of each objective.

I used to think Visible thinking routines were useful for reflection at the end of the lesson. I always found reflection to be critical for every lesson because it gave me the opportunity to reflect on myself as well. But now I think I will use the routines not only at the end of the lesson but at the beginning as well. I will use routines like Think-Pair-Share before every lesson to stimulate thinking and to build collaboration among students, this way students can share ideas and even come up with new ways of thinking that maybe they wouldn't have thought of on their own.

I used to think that using technology in the classroom was just an easy way for the teacher to get out of teaching. It was a way to keep the students occupied so the teacher didn't have to work as hard, as students love to work on the computer at any chance they get. Now I see that technology is a key asset to the future of education and is more than just a cheap distraction for teachers. Technology like it or not is part of the future of education and is now a crucial aspect of learning in today's digital age, and with ISTE designing standards for students to use technology correctly it helps teachers feel safe that the students are safe on the internet. I will use tech in the classroom with programs like Prezi, or creating a fun comic strip on Story Board That. Technology is crucial to the future!

I always knew the importance of assessment in educations because it is the measurement of the extent of the knowledge students gain from a lesson. But now I think as an educator that assessment is important not only as a measurement of the the knowledge your students have gained from a lesson, but it is also a ways to be sure that your students have met the objectives you set for them. ensuring these objective are met are the main goal of a lesson and should be the main goal of the teacher when creating the objectives.

I used to think that listing materials was just a way for teachers to show the administration what materials they need for class. Now I see that these are important because you must provide all materials needed and give credit to resources you will be using throughout the lesson, such as websites, videos, and pictures. Showing credit for work that isn't yours is crucial as taking credit for someone's work that isn't yours is plagiarism and is wrong. I have always understood the importance of procedures as they map out what the student and teacher will need to do for the lesson while also setting a time limit to get through the lesson thoroughly but efficiently.

I used to think Google Suites it was just a new and unnecessary way to have to turn in work. Now, however, I have come to prefer the Google Suites system, as you can access your documents anywhere that has internet access. The tools work exactly the same as Microsoft Office tools just with more access to the documents you wish to view. This way if you ever need access to your documents all it takes is a computer with internet access to get them. I will use this technology in my classroom by using the Google Forms for quizzes, and ways to reach out to parents for both their, and their child's important information. I would also use Google Docs for students to write papers, and Google Slides for presentations. I love the convenience Google Suites brings to the classroom
