Andrew Jackson
Andrew Jackson is a great president for many, but also a horrible man for signing the Indian Removal Act in 1830 and forcing Indians to walk hundreds of miles to Oklahoma. He is known for being a war hero and earned the nickname "Old Hickory" after his service in the War of 1812. In particular, at the battle of New Orleans, Jackson and his men held the city. He was also the first president to be targeted by an assassin. The democrat logo came out of Jacksons election too, his opponents nicknamed him "Jackass" and Jackson liked it so much he used a donkey as his campaign logo.
