Things weren't always easy for Taylor and Katie. Will their friendship survive?

Once upon a time in a town called Kinnelon, there lived two best friends, named Taylor and Katie.

It all begin in Mrs. Bentley's Kindergarten class when Taylor and Katie sat next to each other. They were thrilled as they were next door neighbors.

Taylor and Katie used to spend their free time at the park where their parents would take them to play.

Taylor and Katie remained best friends for years. Along with age, came responsibility, and their parents allowed them to meet up unsupervised.

Even though they had their phones with them, it didn't occur to them to look at the time, they were too busy doing way more important things.

Before they knew it, time had flown and they needed to be home, fast. "Oh, that's what that text was about from my mom, I guess I should have read it" Katie thought as she ran as fast as she could, Taylor close behind. Neither of them were on the track team as it conflicted with choir.

They could run the route home in their sleep, it was an easy trip. They would run for 8 blocks south then turn left and run for 15 blocks until they arrived home.

The girls ran down the familiar perpendicular streets, hearts racing, as they tried in desperation to arrive at their homes.

If only we had listened to Mr. Soules and signed up for track, they thought, while being reprimanded by their parents for missing their curfew.

After being grounded for two weeks for not coming home on time, the girls were given one last chance. So they decided to meet up as usual but were determined not to disappoint their parents by coming home late. Besides, who would want to be grounded for another two weeks...

They were having a great time catching up, deciding what to wear for spirit week at school. Katie decided to sign onto the sophomore google classroom to see if anyone had posted anything new.
