Denali is snow forest located in Alaska, which is characterized by the great diversity of wild animals. How ever, human life develops normally. There are few cabins in the forest, one of which is inhabited by the Flameberck family, formed by William Flameberck, his wife Lucy Rosenberg and their two children Tom and Marie.

William and Tom are woodcutters who get up early every day to work because ''money talks'' as they are the economic livelihood of the family, work hard and enthusiastically to have a good quality of life. Lucy is a hunter and she was going to hunt moose early in the morning because ''the early bird catches the worm''.

William, Tom and Lucy returned to the cabin usually at four o'clock in the afternoon. The cabin of the Flameberck family was very striking because it had many decorative lights around it, this luminous decoration, was because in the afternoon it was very difficult to know where the cabin was and the luminous decorations could be seen faster and better from afar.

Marie, a 12-year-old girl, cooked and cleaned the cabin so that it would be ready when her family arrived after a hard day's work, so she always cooked and cleaned with great enthusiasm. Everything was going normally during the week, however, on Thursday, October 31, a strong and unexpected snowstorm whipped a stronger than normal, with winds of 45 kilometers per hours.

Marie finished cooking and was cleaning the cabin form the outside, despite the brightness it was difficult to clean with so much wind. South of the Flameberck family's cabin lived a herd of wolves, searching for food, moving quickly to hunt a dozen of deer, which ran and headed to where Marie was. While the 12-years-old was eagerly cleaning the cabin she was unaware of the danger ahead.

Suddenly a blow snatches Marie's snow cap, and runs to look for it, as it is a gift that Tom gave her at the previous Christmas, on the other side at 115 meters came the pack of wolves chasing the herd of deer, trying to flee from the ferocious tusks of the wolves, the deer jumped high to evade them, however, one after another was falling into the sharp and fearful tusks of the hungry wolves.

There were 3 live deer left, two managed to escape and one ran into Marie and jumped on her and ran at great speed, the herd meets the girl and they slow down approaching and surrounding her slowly showing their sharp teeth and the deer's blood stained snouts.

Marie was a very tenacious girl just like her father ''like father, like son'', despite such danger was not going to interfere to recover her snow cap, fortuitously the ground began to collapse and the wolves ran out with their respective prey of deer so that they did not fall to hollow, however, a wolf did not manage to jump in time.
